Such a warm welcome from Paul and his team. You only get this level of personal service at privately owned hotels and they are rare to find. Delicious food and wine led by a dedicated head chef. The barman Thomas whips up wonderful cocktails, Massimo and the dining room team are fabulous characters and the setting is very special. We are becoming regulars for a reason.

I stayed at JRW Welmond 4 years ago and loved it but my return today was a total disaster. The hotel has completely lost its hospitality and professional standards ?I went to the restaurant which was the only restaurant in the entire hotel and it was completely empty yet, almost every table had a 'Reserved' sign. No one greeted me or offered to seat me so I just sat anywhere I sat there waiting, but everyone ignored me Finally I went to the bar to place an order myself ?Before I could even finish my order, a manager (a lady in a black suit) interrupted me rudely asking: How will you pay cash or card?' I told her I had just arrived and hadn't even finished. Then, a service girl interrogated me regarding my room number. When I took out the card to check the number and told it to her she demanded, 'Show your key again,' insisting on seeing the physical card before serving me. Even after I told her the room number, she still didn’t believe me ?It felt like I was being treated as a criminal or a suspect not a paying guest in a 5-star hotel, especially since the place was empty the staff speaks almost no English making communication impossible. When I complained to the higher manager in ricpaton he just called it a 'misunderstanding' and dismissively asked, 'Anything else?' He didn't even offer a sincere apology ?To top it off, my room key stopped working twice immediately after this incident It feels like the hotel is intentionally hostile or discriminatory. I will never return to this place. If you want respect, avoid this hotel at all costs

I feel overall my trip to Antigua was not what I had hopes it would be. It was very difficult to find lodging given the busy time and government interruptions cancelling flights. It was very lovely meeting the owners of the Hotel. I throughly enjoyed their communication when the time allowed for conversation. The area felt very safe and it was extremely quiet. It was on a hill so the view of the water was very nice. The hotel in itself had a lot of stairs so it was difficult for me with multiple bags and disabilities but I managed. The room was older fashioned, not modern and the sheets and pillow cases had holes in them, the pillows were more like couch cushions, not standard pillows in which I am not accustomed to. The location is secluded on the other side of the Island so there was nothing to eat in the area, you would have to take a cab. Most dining locations were not open late on the island either. The location is by a main attraction I wanted to go to, The Sting Ray City. They require reservations in advance so I was unable to attend. They did have a tortoise and bird sanctuary in which I loved. The hotel provided me with a discount voucher which I was grateful for. I ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel, which was prepared by the owners. Although I was grateful for the meals, I was not accustomed to the taste. I paid for free breakfast but there was a charge for all meals. Honestly the best part was the owners had an amazing story line that I enjoyed listening to.

Staff was amazing. Clean. They have courtesy BMWs, will drive you to nearby restaurants, set you up at the beach. Worth the money

We loved our stay at Le Labrador, the room was charming with stunning views from the balcony. The staff were friendly and the location is perfect, so peaceful whilst being only five minutes from the town and ski stations.

Really nice room with a beautiful view. The only thing we didn’t like is that there was no fridge in the room. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was big and the staff was kind.
