The hotel itself was very in keeping with the area and felt very homely. The room was spotless and the staff were very weloming and the food was excellent.

On the good side, the traditional and spacious style was good to find in Los Cristainos where most hotels are modern and functional. There are plenty of restaurants close by, so the hotel not having one is no problem. The shortcomings really disappointed us and seemed out of line with recent reviews. It's a nice touch to have welcome cava and nibbles or you to help yourself to, but if the bottle is empty and staff sitting at Reception don't notice and get a new one brought, it's not a good welcome. This was in the middle of the afternoon. We were assured that the big tv in the room would get BBC programmes. We couldn't find them and neither could the staff member who came up to help. The bathroom window was impossible to open, although it had a handle and hinges. Staff knew about this but weren't concerned. The big door onto the balcony was faulty and didn't seal, allowing a lot of noise to come in - notably from a noisy bar nearby at night. There were signs that attempts had been made to fix it a while ago but it remained a problem. On departure, staff didn't seem to care. If we had been booked for longer we would have demanded a change of room, or left. We have since had some feedback from the hotel, with an apology that these matters weren't resolved. However, when a problem is known or there are signs of an attempted and failed repair, it's no good just 'talking a good talk'.

Un très bon accueil dès notre arrivée. Le personnel est sympathique. La chambre est cependant assez vieillotte, les toilettes fuyaient.pas de gel pour la douche. Matelas confortable et linge propre.

Funky room which was clean and comfortable. Yara on reception was lovely and welcoming when we arrived, providing helpful information.

Fantastic location in Sheffield City Centre, a couple of minutes walk from a tram stop, and from the Cathedral and shops. Waitress Nelti and Chef Tyler gave excellent service in the restaurant - the food we had in the restaurant was so tasty and a very reasonable price. Would definitety stay there again. Rooms were quiet, clean and well appointed.

The pros: The property location is excellent, right in the middle of everything! Our room had the most gorgeous view of the church and square. Convenient valet parking (for a fee), very nice staff. The cons: dirty and raggedy carpets throughout the hotel, a musty smell in the room, - which is probably from the carpet! and very low pressure in the shower. I had to request a luggage rack, as there was nowhere to set our suitcases. The building is absolutely beautiful, but in need of TLC. New carpets or floors are a MUST.

Wir waren bereits zum dritten Mal innerhalb dieses Winters in diesem Haus. Ideal gelegen, man kann in Velden alles zu Fu? erreichen, es gibt ein kleines aber sch?nes Hallenbad (Wasser ein wenig kühl, trotzdem freuten wir uns es zu benutzen). Die Damen an der Rezeption aber auch beim Frühstück sind überaus freundlich, ein Dream-Team. Und unser Wunsch nach dem Appartement mit der kleinen Küche konnte auch erfüllt werden. Frühstück hat alles was es braucht und der Platz im Wintergarten - manchmal bei Sonnenschein mit Seeblick - zum Frühstück, das hat einfach was. Sehr gute Betten und auch sonst guter Komfort. Preis-Leistungsverh?ltnis ist auch sehr gut. Wir k?nnen das Haus nur uneingeschr?nkt weitergeben.
