I ended up booking a room with 2 beds since that was all that was available. First of all, the room was too small for how the beds were arranged. There were no curtains on the windows, just shades that needed to be replaced. There was a smell in the room which might be from the area outside the hotel since it's close to the marsh area. My room phone wasn't working properly. When I checked in, I felt the person was lacking in customer service skills, that has been an issue in the past. I feel that the person could of been more friendly and acknowledged that I have been there before and welcomed me back. This hotel and this location needs to better train their front desk people in being more hospitable towards their guests. I also ordered some items that the robot delivers to the room, 30 minutes went by and I had to call the front desk to ask for the items to be delivered since I had been waiting. I also ordered room service and they were timely and friendly, good food too. I stay at this hotel cause the restaurant is good and the rooms have bathtubs plus the location but I do believe customer serive at check-in needs to improve.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was very clean. There is a Restaurant attached, which serves lovely food at very affordable prices and I received a free continental breakfast as part of my booking which was really nice.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this small and beautiful hotel just outside the very busy town of Galle. Tuck tucks were on hand to take us in and out whenever we wanted particularly for evening meals. We had the best massages in this hotel. Kumudu the owner has developed this hotel from his family home and has put his heart and soul into making it a serene beautiful space. I wish him every success and I highly recommend anyone visiting to stay here.

Really loved this hotel. It's isn't flash but with amazing staff and great atmosphere is just brilliant. We went in mid November and the weather was fabulous . The beach is gorgeous and spent alot of time there. Loved the Expresso Martinis which I was really impressed as not many Arab countries are good with cocktails. Did a couple of excursions to the Souk and a fabulous spa day booked with GetMyGuide. Its worth getting a sea view room if you can.

I had a lovely time at Divine Resort & Spa! Although I didn’t personally stay at the hotel, I had the pleasure of going to the spa and I highly recommend booking a massage - specifically with Manisha, she was lovely and professional. I found it very relaxing and I would definitely go back!

Hotel Tropical Garden is really the perfect apart style hotel to stay at when visiting dreamy C.R. The property is lush, gated, has a great pool, with bbq area under a roof, also with common area great for relaxing. Efficiency apartment style rooms paired throughout the property are perfect. The location is perfect because the beach -with private gate access- is 100m away while the convenience of main st is 100m the other way. Bonus that Koko restaurant is a great place to eat and watch sunsets. The side street this is all located on has street lights so no it is not some dark alley as I previously saw in some review. It is relatively quiet considering Jaco is a party every night kind of town. I highly recommend. Maybe only drawback is staff has very limited English, but translator apps solve that. Oh, they provide secure parking onsite for your car which is also a great amenity for peace of mind.
