The room was fine, modern and spacious. They stuck us in building 4 with a view of a rock parking lot. We did not enjoy our stay, and if you’re next to the rock parking lot, you hear the cars driving across them all night long, and theythey’re loudloud at night when everything else is quiet. Many other rooms have the same view. Check in wasn’t impressive and took over 30 minutes and I was the only one there and I had even checked in on line. We were there on a Thursday and Friday morning, they do not serve breakfast, so they give you a coupon across the street to a old greasy spoon for $12 each . The place is like something out of a movie. Tootless old ladies that literally spit on your food when they talk. This is not an exaggeration in anyway. Dishonest and poor management here. Never again.

房间衣柜没有衣架,要自己要。抽取式卫生纸剩下几张,也要自己要。真的是很无奈。

此次在 Palmenhof Hotel 的入住体验,让我对酒店的衞生标准以及员工的基本职业判断能力产生了严重质疑。房间床铺和毛巾上明显残留多根属于他人的长头发(而我本人是短发),这已经説明最基础的清洁流程存在问题。正因为无法信任床品的衞生状况,我才选择使用自己携带的睡袋。然而令人难以理解的是,服务人员在整理房间时,完全没有进行最基本的判断与思考——没有意识到客人使用自带睡袋背后必然有原因,而是机械地将我放在床上的乾净衣物和睡袋移到公共沙发区域,最终导致物品滑落到地板上。将客人的乾净衣物和睡袋置于地面,这种行为不仅缺乏专业素养,更体现出对衞生细节和客人私人物品的漠视。对一个重视清洁的住客而言,这是无法接受的。更令人遗憾的是,酒店未提供洗衣设施,使我不得不在后续行程中继续使用被污染的衣物和睡袋。衞生管理松散,加之员工缺乏最基本的判断能力和服务意识,使此次入住体验大打折扣。希望酒店能够认真反思清洁标准与员工培训问题,也提醒未来的住客对此保持谨慎。
My stay at Palmenhof Hotel has raised serious concerns regarding both the hotel’s hygiene standards and the basic professional judgment of its staff. Multiple long hairs clearly belonging to previous guests were found on the bed and towels (I have short hair), which already indicates a failure in fundamental cleaning procedures. Because I could not trust the cleanliness of the bedding, I chose to use my own sleeping bag. What is even more concerning is that during housekeeping, the staff demonstrated a complete lack of basic judgment and awareness. Instead of considering why a guest might be using a personal sleeping bag, they mechanically removed my clean clothes and sleeping bag from the bed and placed them in a shared sofa area, ultimately causing them to fall onto the floor. Placing a guest’s clean belongings on the ground is not only unprofessional, but also reflects a disregard for hygiene details and personal property. To make matters worse, the hotel does not provide laundry facilities, forcing me to continue my journey with clothing and a sleeping bag that were dirtied due to this incident. The combination of poor hygiene management and the staff’s lack of fundamental judgment and service awareness has severely damaged my trust in the hotel’s overall standards. I strongly urge the management to address deficiencies in both cleaning protocols and staff training, and I advise future guests to take this into consideration.

Resort is located in quite place but very far away from Munnar (about an hours drive). Good for those who just want to relax. Rooms are good and spacious. Staff is good. Food was very nice too. It’s located on a hill at multiple levels and thus may be challenging for senior citizens with problems in walking

房间没有免费瓶装水,挂了”清洁房间”的牌,晚上11点半回去也没人搞衞生,确实不尽人意,位置还行,周边没有什么用餐点,在前台刷了50澳元按金,不知几时才能退回?

Could have been excellent, but missing 2 things. Heated towel racks, and skylights in the dining area. It is an art and architecture hotel, and we enjoyed the paintings on the walls, but fell a little short where it comes to architecture. The skylights would allow natural light, and then they could have real trees instead of plastic ones.

We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our collection of specially commissioned contemporary art.The bedrooms in our Windmill Wing do include heated towel rails in the bathrooms, connected to the central heating, however the rooms in the Garden Wing do not, as they operate on an underfloor heating system. We will certainly take your feedback into consideration as we always strive to improve the rooms to offer the best guest experience.For the benefit of future guests, and should you wish to return in the future, due to our current kitchen and restaurant renovation, breakfast dining is taking place in the Oriel Lounge, which usually functions as a bar and gallery space for our art collection. As such, the design is intended to highlight the art.Our Blas Restaurant and Lolfa area, where dining will return upon the completion of the renovation work on the 28th March, does include a lovely conservatory area perfect for lunch and afternoon tea dining to make the most of the natural light during the day.
