Our stay started off with finding stains on our bedsheets in our bed. The staff quickly changed them, but it soured our expectations. The next issue we had was when we went to the bar for a Valentines Day drink. It took nearly 10 minutes for someone to serve us, despite there being as many people behind the bar as there were at it. Their bar was nowhere near capacity, but we were simply being ignored. It wasn't until we asked how to we get a drink that someone actually served us. And it didn't end there. It took another 10 minutes to get a Guiness and a cocktail. The person who took the order couldn't make the cocktail and asked someone else to make it. They didn't make it until we asked about it. It definitely dampened our Valentines Day getaway, and recommend Roganstown if you're expecting service. The staff overall were cheerful and nice (hence 3 stars instead of 2), but the service was lacking greatly. It's meant to be 4 Star hotel. It didn't even reach 2 Star service.

Staff was nice and very workable however, the room had markings and dents in the wall and the vent looked like it had been tampered with.

I really appreciate the room size because it was big and was very clean and comfortable. The service was excellent at all. The only issue was the TV because we can’t used it and there was not a YouTube. Hope next time will be better. Love you guys

We enjoyed an amazing stay at Lonno Lodge in December for 5 nights just before Christmas. Through hard work , tremendous care and great attention to detail, Silvia & Aldo have realised their vision and offer something very special at Lonno Lodge. From the moment that you arrive, the warm and very personal welcome sets the tone and is followed by impeccable service with friendly and attentive staff, far superior to anywhere else in Kenya that we have ever experienced on previous trips. Absolutely everything - the accommodation, food, pool, location, stunning views and service are all exceptional. The accommodation and public areas are stylishly furnished with an African theme at it’s heart. Lonno Lodge provides a wonderfully relaxing and quiet retreat, ideal when arriving straight from a long flight or after a bumpy and busy safari itinerary. I particularly loved the views out to sea near the pool area which could be enjoyed whilst relaxing on a large swinging daybed enjoying the sea breeze. Our family that included 2 teenage boys enjoyed using the lodge's electric bikes to explore Watamu and visit the Snake Farm. The electric Tuk Tuk is also very useful and far more comfortable than your standard Tuk Tuk! A visit to experience the charms and peaceful retreat of the beautiful Lonno Lodge for yourself is highly recommended!

Had a wonderful time in Barmouth even though the weather was awful. We found The Royal to be most welcoming. The room we had was really lovely, clean and comfortable and of a very high standard. Although we did visit other bars during our visit The Royal came highly recommended for their food. We both ordered lasagne and it was excellent with plenty of cheese. The bar itself was a very friendly place which we thoroughly enjoyed. Most certainly would recommend and will definitely be back one day.

Absolutely delighted with the Lodge (Drummond) which we booked for 4 nights, with our 3 dogs. The lodge is larger than it looks and the location is excellent, at the edge of Loch Lomond and right next to the beautiful village of Balmaha. The lodge has everything you'd need for your stay (including treats for the dogs). As it was January in Scotland the washer/dryer was extremely useful. I would thoroughly recommend anyone thinking of a relaxing break to consider these lodges. It's one of those places that you don't want to leave.
