Fijn hotel. Pas achter de receptie en entree ervaar je de heerlijke sfeer en ambiance van dit fijne boutique hotel. Je voelt je er gelijk op je gemak! Fijne sfeer, goed en vriendelijk personeel, heerlijke keuken. Ook qua ligging prima in Colombo 7 en dichtbij vele bezienswaardigheden.

This was my second time staying at this hostel during my trip to Australia. I chose a six-person room. I had room number 1, next to the main entrance. The door lock opens using my phone via Bluetooth or by entering a password on the lock's touchscreen. The door slams very loudly when closing. The room and shower are clean. The shower door also creaks. The beds squeak loudly, especially the top bunk. The outlet near bed number 1 constantly switches off, and the protection trips when a lamp or charger is turned on. My room was next to the main entrance door of the hostel, and this door slams very loudly every time guests enter or leave the hostel. That means literally every 1-5 minutes from 7 AM to 1 AM. It's simply impossible to sleep in this room! Fix the front door! It should close silently! The kitchen, where the electric stoves are, is extremely dirty and constantly in disarray. The floor in the common dining room is also very dirty; they sweep and mop the floors once a week or less often. The tables are clean and wiped down regularly. The courtyard is dirty and disorganized; there are dining tables there, too, but the floor is just as dirty as the common kitchen. Dinner starts at 6:30 PM, guests are served soup, and at 7:00 PM, if there's any soup left in the pot, it's simply poured into the sink. Even though dinner lasts until 7:45 PM, guests can arrive between 7:15 and 7:30 PM, but there won't be any soup left because it was simply poured into the sink. Why do this? You're just wasting food! Leave the soup in the pot until the end of dinner! Breakfast and dinner are good, and you can eat a hearty meal. There are no instructions on the kitchen walls that guests are expected to wash their own dishes. Some new guests don't understand this and leave dirty dishes in the sink. The description of available services doesn't mention that this hostel offers a free iron near room number 2. There's only one washing machine for the entire 50-person hotel, although the laundry room could accommodate two washers and two dryers if stacked. There's a long line at the laundry room in the evening, and some guests don't show up on time to pick up their laundry. Washing costs $4, drying costs $4. It's just a cheap hostel for an overnight stay. Conveniently located in the city center.

Habitación claustrofóbica, no cabe nada, no hay percha ni armario… ducha fija en el techo, se escucha mucho la calle, TV no iba sonido y desde recepción no te solucionan nada. Lo único bueno la situación, hay opciones muchísimos mejores.

Top notch amenities, cleanliness and service. Booked it for a friend and was impressed with how spacious and comfortable the room is. Will book again if needed.
