Very pleasantly surprised at how lovely this hotel was. We had dinner and breakfast and both were very good. Very clean and very friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Check in was fine.. Facilities were poor.. No hot chocolate in the rooms or available at the hotel restaurant. The only place you could get it was to pay in the on-sight Starbucks (which was closed when I arrived).. Given that I don’t drink tea or coffee there were no hot drinks available. There were no cups or glasses for rinsing teeth after brushing. Breakfast choice was also poor.. I stay in hotels regularly but this is the first hotel I’ve visited where you can’t get hot chocolate without paying a high price, and you couldn’t even rinse your mouth after brushing your teeth. I would have given no stars apart from Gail one of the breakfast servers who (when I raised the issue), out of the goodness of her heart, and without my knowledge, spoke to John the Starbucks manager who again, very kindly gave her a free hot chocolate to give to me. Both these staff members went above and beyond which I’m very grateful for. Hence the two stars which would have been none without them.

You get what you pay for! Great location our room was perfect! Clean and great view! Breakfast was everything you needed. If you’re looking for a fancy resort then book down the road but pay triple the price!

We had an overnight stay at Pippi’s after being at Port Macquarie for the day and geez I must say for hotel/pub accommodation this place was just great. The check in procedure was so swift with the lady assisting just superb and so friendly. She personally escorted out to the stairway and pointed us to our room which was very helpful. Dinner in the restaurant was absolutely delicious and the choice of refreshing beverages at the bar being fantastic. The room was more than satisfactory with very comfy queen and single beds, and plenty of pillows on each bed. A good supply of tea and coffee, a large HD television, a very good sized balcony with a table and 2 chairs, and a very nice and modern bathroom. The entire unit appeared to have been recently fully renovated being very clean. Despite being near a busy main road, we heard zero road noise which made for a good nights sleep/rest. Pippi’s overall package of accommodation, dining and bar service along with the superb location overlooking the beautiful Lake Macquarie was just great and I would strongly recommend Pippi’s at the Point to all and sundry - thanks for a great overnight stay!

Everything seemed right. The location close to beaches, preserves and not far from Sarasota.

It was a wonderful experience staying in Barog Heights enjoying the scerenic beauty and a wonderful hospitality by the hotel staff.It is a worth visiting place.

Hidden gem. Great rooms and amenities. Very very friendly and welcoming staff. Walking distance to everything.
