Nice property, clean and good service. Staff are very polite and helpful. As the resort was empty when we checked in, they upgraded us to a higher category room. the downside is the food. We were on MAP plan. Taste wise food is ok, but the spread and variety is far less than what normally is. In dinner the menu everyday was a very typical Indian spread, with no options of Chinese or Continental variety. We have stayed in Leisure Hotel properties as early as 1995 in their Nainital/Corbett hotels. They continue with the same type of food since then with no changes. They don't compromise on tariff but cut corners and compromise on food. This is the first resort I've come across who do not provide evening high tea. Overall not value for money. Not at all.

The road in front is limited to busses so a taxi or Uber can’t drop you off in front. There is no elevator, at my age sleeping my suitcases up the stairs isn’t good. The staff was a great help with this. The breakfast is on the fourth floor so more stairs. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was eggs to order and coffee. The bed was very comfortable. The laminate flooring in the room was falling apart. Ok value for the price.

We came here for a day visit with family from Australia and we loved the place. Location is perfect for both Dambulla and Sigiriya. Beautiful atmosphere overlooking the lake, spacious rooms, clean and cosy. Service was excellent by the staff and good spread of food in buffet dinner and breakfast. Exceeding our expectations!

The room was supposed to be a double but it would have been small even with a single bed instead. There wasn't any room to put anything at all, and it was ready for a good refurbish. We luckily managed to get our money refunded as the young lady checking us in understood and agreed with us what we had said. Luckily we managed to find somewhere else at short notice with it being out of season.

Great location, close to train station and convenient for old town. Room was clean and comfortable.
