We havent been to the Fountain for a number of years. We had been told that there was a new Thai menu which was supposedly very good. We booked on a whim thinking we wouldn't get a table on Valentines day, but we were lucky. The Thai menu is based up stairs. The restaurant is very accessible, clean and has a welcoming feel. We were greeted by friendly, accommoding staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We had fried king prawns and satay chicken to start, they were beautiful. For mains we had red curry and massaman and we honestly can't explain how delicious they were. They were so flavourful, light and fresh to eat. We honestly can't recommend this restaurant enough. It's definitely on our "to go back to" list of restaurants.

Ended up not staying at St Andrews guest house.
Entrance code to property never came.
Even though I spoke to a man called Andrew, the night before.
He told me I would receive the code the next morning.
Phoned three numbers on to get an entrance code as there is no one, on site.
Eventually managed to get an answer on the phone to be told, we were not booked in, that it was expedia's fault, booking was not confirmed.
They then said, that they would find us accommodation. At no extra cost.
We stayed at The Braidmead, Irvine. Which is a lovely and welcoming place.
Very distressing, having travelled for 4 hours and unable to speak to anyone.

Great room, lovely staff, including last year. Excellent soundproofing as near main road. This is a lovely premier inn.

Total of 3 rooms in 3 nights. The first one the heat kicked on and sounded like a train was coming through. Moved rooms. The second one the refrigerator was malfunctioning and clicked and clicked for hours. Finally got in a room my last night and actually wasn’t bad except the shampoo holder was broken from the wall and just sitting on the side of the tub. Gabby at the front desk did her absolute best to accommodate all the issues. She was friendly, courteous and extremely helpful as much as she could be. The hotel itself was clean and appeared well kept. I personally just didn’t get the rest I came to get. Back to the hustle and bustle of life without the results from this minor weekend getaway I hoped for.

I just want to express my disappointment from my recent stay in ?bis Cambridge !!!Unfortunately my expirience did not meet the standards that I expected . The issue was bathroom vent which was blowing freezing air and was making annoying noise all night. Even outside was warmer than inside in the room. This was one of my worst hotel experiences I have had .
