Everything is good

Nona nostra volta al Posta. Non riusciamo mai a cambiare, sia perché la Val D'Orcia è un posto unico al mondo, sia perché questo non è un albergo nel senso stretto del termine, ma una 'casa' che ti accoglie. La vista dalle piscine è unica, con un bellissimo giardino (un consiglio che darei, è passare la rete più spesso per togliere quanto cade in acqua dalle piante). Giardino bellissimo. Ma sopratutto, tutti, dalla Direttrice, volto storico, a chi si occupa delle stanze, regala sempre un sorriso. Un pò rumorose le stanze sopra al bar dove si preparano le colazioni, ma al Posta si sta d'incanto, e non vediamo l'ora di ritornare. Un caro saluto a tutto, ma proprio tutto, lo staff.

We celebrated my Mum's birthday with a scrumptious afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings. All the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food was presented beautifully and tasted wonderful. It was pleasing having a variety of hot items as well as the sandwiches, scones and cakes. There was too much to eat, so they boxed up the leftovers and we enjoyed them at home later in the day.

Booked room with Matterhorn view. Luckily, I can see blue hour and golden hour in the last dawn. Breakfast is excellent. Staff are nice and friendly.

I stayed at this hotel for one week with a friend. I booked with TUI about a month before, costing around ￡800 each. CHECK IN - the hotel is about 5 minutes drive from the airport. We went on the TUi transfer bus, but I think I’d just get a taxi if I came again. The hotel check in took 45 minutes. Long queues and it was hot in reception! Some people had checked in online, but still had to queue. ROOM - we were given a very small, dark room with no sofa area and next to the main pathway. So everyone walking past would be able to see in to the room. It seemed very noisy and we asked to change. We were given a room at the furthest block away from reception, overlooking empty land and we could see the beach. It had a sofa area and a nice balcony. It was very clean, bed comfortable and there were loads of tv channels in English and other languages. (Not that I watched tv) The bathroom is literally open plan with the room, no door or anything. It has two sinks, a toilet with a door on and a shower, where you just step out into the main room. There’s also tea/coffee, a fridge with soft drinks and spirits on the wall. Drinks get renewed every 2nd day. 3 bottles of water are given every other day, not really enough. Room towels are tiny! The cleaners did a good job, but were so noisy chatting away and pushing trolleys at 8am! We had to ask for another pillow each, as there was only one flat pillow. Our air con didn’t work for two days, despite asking several times for maintenance. It was finally fixed, but wasn’t that effective. There are also no lifts in this hotel & it had 3 floors. One day we got back from the beach to find we had no towels. We ordered on the app and we had to sit for 1 1/2hours all sandy until they arrived and that was after we called reception as well. LOCATION- the location is perfect, close to the airport, on a gorgeous beach with turquoise water. It’s peaceful & very relaxing. Not much to see in Boa Vista, but we knew this. The grounds of this hotel and the building itself are beautiful, like a palace. Definitely looks 5 star and very clean. POOLS - there are 2 big pools 110cm deep. Then two pools with swim up bars and seating in them. There is also a small pool where the staff did activities. The pool areas were lovely and the sunbeds nice. It was definitely 5 star in those areas. The pools were perfect temperature and not too busy. Pool towels are available from two little towels huts, they are big and you can get clean ones every day. Always able to get sunbeds, but not always umbrellas. Does have areas with shaded sun canopies. ENTERTAINMENT- the staff did a great job entertaining people day and night. Yoga, Zumba, sports, dancing, games etc. There was also an art centre and a spa which were chargeable. There was also a gym. The evening entertainment was in a huge stage area, with plenty of seating. It was all sorts of shows with music etc. There was also the reception bar area, which was beautiful and very chill

Staff were very friendly and helpful! Views were beautiful!

This was not an easy place to find but is in a lovely rural setting. The room was nice room and very stylish but not very practical : the bedside lamps set below bed height bizarrely !! We chose to stay here specifically because of its Michelin rated restaurant and wrote asking for a table as we had driven many hundreds of miles that day. They never replied and we forgot to check. As a result we found the restaurant closed. Instead, we had to go out again, which we really had not wanted to do after such a long drive earlier. Neither do they do a proper breakfast buffet on Mondays. We were offered a very unappetizing room service tray instead. We won't be rushing back here.
