We spent 5 days (4 days of skiing) from 11.1. till 16.1.2026, 2 adults, 2 kids (10+12). I can only recommend this hotel. The service is on a high level. Stefan and his wife are nice persons. Also Peter (waiter) did an excellent job. Rooms are nice, apparently reconstructed, well heated. Welness is small but absolutely sufficient. You can reach slopes within 10 minutes. Overal: we were very satisfied :-)

Rooms were very clean. The service was outstanding. We were 15 minutes late for breakfast. Management still honored their breakfast for us and treated us with great respect and courtesy. I would definitely stay there again cause they took care of us first and went way beyond.. outstanding service

Lovely gardens and grounds 3 Pools inc swim up and indoor Gym and spa with steam room and sauna Great location 15-20 min walk into Funchal Two dining area options plus bar/pool snacks Thatchers Bar great views Live entertainment/music every night Well equipped galley kitchens in studio rooms inc hob microwave and dishwasher All room amenities as expected Staff okay but not overly friendly Had issues with safe and WiFi Food great but table service not good so buffet nights a better option

Cannot speak highly enough of the staff at this hotel. Each and everyone from checkin to waitress were sp friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. They made oir stay thanks for a great break.
