A pleasant stay, lovely staff, clean room, good facilities, good value for money.

Stayed at the mill on the exe for a one night stay, the room was perfect and had all I could ask for, even fresh milk for tea and coffee. The team were very welcoming. Thanks all

Excellent location, nearby to all the tourist spot including the ferry to Praia beach. Love the indoor pool and the room is really nicely design and clean! Totally worth the 5 stars review! Will be back again during summer.

This might not look stylish from the outside, but once you get inside it's a totally different story. Very nice entrance and lobby where kids can play if needed and a very nice restaurant. The rooms are spacy and very clean. I will definitely be back again.

We stayed at the Bearslake Inn for a mid January weekend break. Unlike many other reviews, I do feel our room was warm and, although basic, it had everything we needed for the weekend. Walls are thin but it’s a listed building with so much history and I think it’s part of its charm and character. It was also a huge bonus that it was dog friendly, it was spacious and in a great location. We ate at the Inn on our first night. Food is good but some of the options are ridiculously expensive. ￡28 for the venison and it was a tiny portion - definitely not suitable if you have a large appetite. My partner was disappointed and we both agreed it’s not worth the expense. Having said that, the burger and fries are both a good size and the desserts are huge. It is strange that there is such a huge variation between portion sizes. Chefs come out and chat to you which makes it a unique dining experience. As we had our dog, we ate in the bar which is incredibly dog friendly. Lots of dogs present in the bar. The bartender/waitress was lovely and kept giving our dog treats, it’s clear she loves dogs and she was great! We’d return to stay in the Inn but think twice about eating in the restaurant because of the ￡￡￡ of the food - other local pubs have a similar atmosphere and great food but aren’t as expensive. I wish I’d taken some pictures of our meals to show what I mean!
