The hotel windows open to a blank wall ahead. Maybe it’s the room we got (new wing), gotta be checked. The rooms are musky and furniture creaky. The strong damp smell is countered, unsuccessfully, by room-fresheners. The Dining hall is again dingy. Service is average at best. The silver lining is the Breakfast area and breakfast spread- quite good.

Stayed for 3 nights and service was amazing. My friend lost his glasses at a restaurant and the receptionist offered to help us collect! We tipped the staff and they were super friendly.
However, the cafe food located inside the hotel was normal, not much food options.

Great place to stay. Lovely quiet site, nicely laid out, great position for town and Abel Tasman NP. Our motel suite was excellent - lovely comfy bed, great shower, well equipped. Excellent laundry too.
