The hotel stands out for its location and the kindness and availability of the staff. However, the hotel room is very noisy with noise coming from all directions (other rooms, corridor, streets). Also, the wifi was not reliable the whole week and you had to reboot the modem in the room every 10 minutes.

We stayed last December with my husband and our two sons. It was my husband’s birthday and also our 10 year anniversary. The room design was very nice, with a comfortable bed and a private swimming pool. The room was clean and had a turndown service, which our two boys loved especially the rice cakes every night. There were many activities, but it seemed that no one proactively approached guests we always had to go to the lobby ourselves. The food was good but with limited options. There was no kids menu, and the happy hour cocktail selection had only four items. On our first day, the kids food was delayed, but Ezekiel sorted it out immediately. Ezekiel is truly the key person of the resort. We told him that my husband and I wanted to have a massage together, but we didn’t know where to leave our two boys. He found a solution right away he suggested keeping them in the playroom and arranged someone to take care of them so we could relax and celebrate our 10 year anniversary. This is real 5 star service. He always checked on us and other guests during breakfast and dinner to make sure everyone was okay. The hotel has great potential. Management should consider hiring more staff and building another kitchen at the beach shack to improve service efficiency. Overall, it was a wonderful birthday and anniversary stay. The room and service was amazing! The food was first-rate and you can’t beat the location! They also arranged for a driver to pick me up from the airport and take me to Wadi Rum. He was excellent! This hotel is beautiful and I can’t recommend it enough.

This place is the best, lovely rooms beds are amazing. Staff are very friendly, and down stairs you have all you need. Coffee bakery coles pub. Post offices, heeps of food shops and more all in one place. I highly recommend the gabba apartments. The best sleep i have had in brisbane.
