Room perfect and clean. The breakfast was poor quality, a little background music would bring some atmosphere, it felt like a funeral. Could not pay in cash, only card.

The room was great with a small fridge, tea and coffee, modern shower room and a really comfy bed. Breakfast was outstanding. Would definitely recommend and rebook if we return.

What a fantastic place. Beautiful surroundings with loch and mountain views. Really friendly lovely staff, excellent room with huge bathroom and two baths! Real luxury. Terrific breakfast with high quality ingredients and expertly prepared. We enjoyed every moment. We'd love to go back again on future.

Room was clean, clear guidance on how to get into building and room. Bathroom was a treat with lovely bathrobe, towels and toiletries. Bed was comfortable and right temperature. Good to have tea/coffee making facilities.

Was supposed to be here for 2 nights, first night first room, TV not working, Wifi not working and no hot water! Moved me to a new room turned out to have the same issues. When I reached the hotel for the second night I was told. there is still no hot water so left the hotel and stayed elsewhere. The room was booked in advance and have contacted the hotel via ******* twice to try and get a refund for at least the second night and not heard from them at all.

We had a nice meal, thought the staff were nice, due to their incompetence of managing the bar, they queried if we had paid our meal bill. We had paid as we ordered so no tab. We got asked if we had paid our tab twice and even prompted as we went to our concert at the Minster. We were staying at the hotel and was a very embarrassing experience to say the least. I even proved payment on our banking app. The staff need to pay more attention. Won’t be recommending and ruined my night ahead.

Room was clean, bed was comfy. Doors banging all night. My door banged and rattled anytime someone in another room slammed their door. This happened all through the night and my door rattled so hard i thought someone was trying to get in. As a woman on my own it was scary at first. Area is horrendous..dirty, busy,main road. Had to park 5 minute walk away down a dodgy street. In all honesty, i was worried about leaving my car there and although i contemplated leaving early in the morning, i didnt want to walk there alone in the dark . Wouldnt stay again

Thank you to the front of house who waited for us to arrive at 10pm, breakfast was lovely, only downside is double bed, too small for us Lovely stay- would recommend

We love staying at the Standardx. Great location, cool hotel and comfy rooms. What more could you adk for!
