Poor sound buffer between rooms. The basic rooms have a king size bed and a single bed so they fit three adults. We were unlucky to have 3 college aged students in the room next to us and another three in the room across from us. Its not a party resort so we were probably just unlucky but the sound barrier was so poor i think we would have ran into a similar issue if there was a family with small children in those rooms. The resort itself was nice and very clean but being woken up so often really dampened the experience for us. We could even hear one of the men puking from our room : ( They were unable to move us bc they were fully booked.

Absolutely delighted with the Lodge (Drummond) which we booked for 4 nights, with our 3 dogs. The lodge is larger than it looks and the location is excellent, at the edge of Loch Lomond and right next to the beautiful village of Balmaha. The lodge has everything you'd need for your stay (including treats for the dogs). As it was January in Scotland the washer/dryer was extremely useful. I would thoroughly recommend anyone thinking of a relaxing break to consider these lodges. It's one of those places that you don't want to leave.

Zum zweiten Mal im Lüsnerhof – und es war wieder einfach mega! Dieses Mal hatten wir ein Zimmer im Badehaus, absolut traumhaft. Die Atmosph?re, die Ruhe und das Design sind einfach etwas Besonderes. Der neue Wellnessbereich ist wundersch?n geworden – modern, stilvoll und gleichzeitig total entspannend. Die Aufgusssauna war ein echtes Highlight! Auch das Essen war wie immer auf h?chstem Niveau, vom gro?artigen Frühstück bis zum Abendessen. Ein ganz gro?es Lob an die Mitarbeiter: unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich – man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen. Für uns einer der sch?nsten Orte zum Abschalten. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

This was our third visit to the Inn and yet again, we really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are comfortable and spacious rather than luxurious, but it is the food and hospitality of the hosts and staff that makes a stay at the Allanton Inn so special. Katrina has worked hard to source high quality, local ingredients for the menus and the provenance is proudly displayed. The food is of a very high standard, including the sumptuous Scottish breakfasts. We love the place so much that we hope to take some friends on our next visit. It is very good value, too, and the Berwickshire countryside is stunning.

Looking at all the positive reviews, we were very much looking forward to our 3 night stay here. We did have breakfast one morning and it was terrific. Our room was clean and comfortable. However, we left on two mornings early for our sightseeing tours and they made little effort to accommodate the missed breakfasts. And as noted by another reviewer, there is only a single coffee bar for all the people staying there. One morning there was no coffee available. Also as noted there was no one available after 5 PM, so when the drinkable water ran out or we needed additional tissues, no one could help till the next day. The final "straw" was that they double charged us for the first night and pick-up from the airport (these had been payed in advance per their requirement by the person who had booked our stay). It is hard to understand how they did not have records of these prior payments. After several weeks of calls, these double payments were refunded.
