Very small room, described as “superior“ which would not describe this room. Uneven floors in the hallway as well as inside the room!
Apparently uninformed staff regarding nearby locations and activities.
Essentially no services in the hotel, including cleaning and tidying the room!
The only good thing to say is it is in a great location.

Stayed in a very spacious suite. Nice bed, tv in bathroom but couldn’t get it to work….tight on toiletries, one mini shower gel is not enough for 2 people. Supper in restaurant was good. Breakfast was ok but really grating was full English was included in b&b rate but if you wanted avocado on toast a £6 supplement as was smoked salmon and and scrambled egg as was 2 more items…..only had cheap white bread for toast. Continental selection was poor.
Staff tried hard but understaffed especially in the bar in the evening. Hotel is in a beautiful setting and close to walk to high street where there’s some good shops.

Séjour très décevant – ne correspond pas à un h?tel 4 étoiles Nous avons séjourné plusieurs nuits à l’Indian Ocean Lodge et notre expérience a été très décevante. Dès l’arrivée, l’accueil a été froid et peu professionnel. La chambre attribuée n’était pas propre (toilettes sales, sols et salle de bain insuffisamment nettoyés, odeur de moisi, cheveux dans la literie). Ces problèmes ont été signalés dès le premier jour. La restauration a également été une grande déception : produits tièdes, manque de fra?cheur, d'hygiène, présence fréquente d’oiseaux sur les tables et au buffet, ce qui pose un réel problème d’hygiène pour un établissement de ce standing. Nous avons tous les deux été malades pendant le séjour, ce qui nous a contraints à interrompre une excursion payée à l’avance. Malgré plusieurs signalements, nous n’avons pas eu le sentiment d’être réellement écoutés ni pris au sérieux. L’h?tel est esthétiquement agréable, mais la propreté, l’hygiène et la qualité du service ne sont pas à la hauteur d’un h?tel 4 étoiles ni des tarifs pratiqués. Nous ne recommandons pas cet établissement.

Aardig en behulpzaam personeel. Zeer mooie luxe hotel kamer. een relaxte sfeer en vanuit de hotelkamer toegang tot een prachtig strand, iets mooiers kunnen we ons niet voorstellen.

It’s a pretty nice hotel overall. The lobby is nice, and there is 24-hour service with a bar. Free Wi-Fi and a pool, although I didn’t have time to check the pool.
Some small things, though. The room lacked a hanger for a jacket, which was quite annoying. The sound insulation was poor, or the neighbours were very loud. There was a lot of noise from the corridor and quite a bit of noise from the alley below. I also noticed black dots around the air intake (possibly mold?).
There was information about a bottle of wine per stay, but the staff did not acknowledge this because they couldn’t see it in the booking, so I didn’t receive one.
I also had to ask them to refill the bath soap. They did, however, replace the toothbrush and toothpaste, which was nice.
I asked if it was possible to get other types of tea, but there was only one option unless I bought tea at the bar.
Overall, it feels a bit stingy for a hotel of this standard.
In general, it’s a good hotel, but I think they could reconsider some aspects of the standard.
