Was curious as reviews weren’t to good but it’s a nice stay, people are right about the smell around the place but in the room it’s perfectly fine, lovely Italian restaurant near by would highly recommend and was a simple stay. Worth the price

Room was spacious and clean. The staff was not paying much attention and service was slow and unfriendly. Every time you go in/out they need to open the gate. Not very efficient and a little annoying. Breakfast was mediocre. "Ocean view" rooms are overlooking the road and unlikely to be worth the extra price. Does not deserve 5*

We were staying in Somerset View for a business trip, what a pleasure. Neat and clean rooms, the best breakfast, there hosting is outstanding, and we had the option to rent a car. I can recommend this highly

5/5 Stars: Carlton Kodaikanal – Pure Bliss! Stayed 3 nights at Carlton Kodaikanal, and it was perfection! Mr. Christopher (DGM) and Anthony Raj delivered warmth beyond the call of duty, making us feel right at home. Outstanding hospitality, excellent food with flexible chefs catering every whim, and a perfectly managed hotel oozing old-world charm—beautifully maintained. Best views in Kodaikanal from manicured gardens teeming with flora and fauna. Pristine air quality added to the magic. Highly recommend this 5-star gem for an unforgettable hill station escape!

Room was clean, front desk staff was very courteous, bar drinks and Irma were great. Property is very nice and relaxing.

Das Personal ist super hilfsbereit und freundlich, die Küche sehr gro? und offen, sodass man leicht mit Leuten ins Gespr?ch kommt. Die Gemeinschaftsecke mit Netflix-Angebot trug zus?tzlich dazu bei: man kommt abends dort zusammen und schaut gemeinsam Serien oder Filme. Die Betten sind grunds?tzlich bequem, allerdings sind die Gestelle scheinbar sehr alt, wackeln enorm und quietschen, sobald man hineinklettert. Man merkt jede Bewegung der Person, die über/unter einem liegt. In den kleinen R?umen wurde es au?erdem über Nacht so hei?, dass selbst eine offen stehende Tür keine gro?e Besserung gebracht hat. Es gab einen Ventilator, der die ganze Nacht über r?hrte, eine Klima w?re da aber wesentlich hilfreicher gewesen. Dass man für 40$ Deposit ein spezielles Schloss für die Schublade unterm Bett leihen muss, da man sonst nichts einschlie?en kann, fand ich etwas ungünstig. Man war aber hilfsbereit und hat eine L?sung gefunden. Lage ist Ansichtssache. Zum Strand allgemein super kurz, wenn man aber hoch zum Berg m?chte, muss man schon eine halbe Std gehen, und rüber ins Zentrum besser mit dem Auto oder Bus.
