[Visited out of season, so can't comment on the restaurant and pool (both closed for winter)] The hotel room was good (albeit a bit dated it was clean, spacious, nice big bed), had good amenities (but no coffee/tea in the kitchenette) and the view from the private balcony was very nice - overall a good stay

We had my daughters 18th birthday party here and from the moment I made an enquiry the staff were really helpful. Julia and the team were on hand to give us brilliant advice and help with anything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble and they were out to give the best experience for us, rather than to make as much money as possible. Thank you to all the staff who helped make it a brilliant night. I can't recommend this place enough.

We had a great stay, staff can't do enough for you the biggest bonus is that breakfast is served till 1130am so lovely lay in. The new managers started the day were arrived and were eagar to hear what we thought of our stay , and what they could change , Nice to be listened to.

Stayed one night, excellent buffet lunch with home baked mini pasties, sausage rolls and exceptional Victoria Sandwich. This is a cosy, family run hotel, friendly staff, quintessentially old England with Mahogany furniture, French antique beds, generous breakfast. (Delicious toast!). Comprehensively stocked bar and comfy lounge. Located right opposite a pub and next to the little post office. Close to the village church. Would be fabulous on a sunny spring or summer day. Perfect for a party or wake!

Misdescribed as as suite only studio.
No privacy guests walked through our garden area to access other rooms.
Foul smell from drains.
No hot water on our second day.

The room was clean and warm. The staff friendly, helpful and courteous. It was a shame that they didn’t have the fire going in the bar as the main bar and breakfast room were rather cold. It was a snowy few February days.
