Great hotel. Fabulous location.Everything from greeting on arrival to very stylish bedroom was perfect. Breakfast was superb, we were the last there - it closes at 11.30am weekdays - and the quality of fruit and pastries were far superior to any other hotel buffet I’ve had. Very friendly staff.

+ O hotel é muito charmoso e bem localizado, quarto super confortável e aconchegante. - Estou tirando uma estrela porque ao chegar recebemos recomenda??es de locais para jantar/café da manh?. O do jantar gostamos bastante (Little Napoli), porém a dica de café da manh? foi desastrosa (Kate's place), simplesmente o pior e mais caro lugar que já "tomamos café " pq estava t?o ruim que pagamos 61 dólares (2 pessoas) e n?o conseguimos comer. N?o sei se há algum acordo entre o hotel e o restaurante, mas recomendo fortemente que turistas, principalmente brasileiros, n?o caiam nessas recomenda??es de hotel e busquem locais por conta própria (Google, ChatGPT)... Chuveiro pouco potente, banho mais ou menos.

Good ambience

The Lodge was clean and presented well. However lounge furniture especially chair needed cleaning on the arms. Staff very helpful when i lost earring down the bathroom sink. However one thing not done after being highlighted was road night lights not working. We extended our stay as well.

Em dias de temporal, foi bom ter este refugio. Na qualidade do alojamento, nos pormenores que nos encantam e principalmente na simpatia de um acolhimento que nos cativa, que nos faz sentir em casa! Pronto para repetir talvez por altura da Festa do Caldo de Quintandona.

Viemos a Oliveira de Frades para apresentar os livros da cole??o Benny e os Amigos, da autora Lídia Farinha — e a estadia foi literalmente a cereja no topo do bolo. Quarto confortável, com tudo o que é essencial para descansar depois de um dia intenso de trabalho com crian?as e escolas. O staff fez toda a diferen?a: super atenciosos, disponíveis e profissionais. Um agradecimento especial ao Sr. Márcio, que nos recebeu já fora de horas no check-in e ainda conseguiu articular a limpeza do quarto nos horários que pedimos por quest?es logísticas. Isso chama-se servi?o a sério. Recomendamos sem hesitar a quem precisar de pernoitar em Oliveira de Frades — aqui sente-se cuidado, n?o apenas alojado. Gratid?o ??

When we arrived no one was on Reception to check us in. Had to go and get someone from bar to check us in. We were told we had already checked into room 9. We had explained we had not checked in and girl said the key is away. She then got another member of staff who also advised us we had already checked in and its room 9. Then she got owner who asked us if there was something wrong with room? We explained again we have not been in a room and just arrived. The owner asked us if the signature on the paper was ours. We had explained no and he didnt know who was in our room then. We after 15 mins of a carry on was given the furthest away room at the end of the building which at night only had the light from outside in the corridor, so it was dark to walk in. The room really needed updating and needed some improvements too which you can see from our photos. Mould and dampness was an issue and having a large window in the toilet that you can see shapes from outside so they can see the shapes of us from inside with no way of covering this window. Dead flies in lights and also squashed into walls. We kept being told that our surname was Burns but then think that Mr & Mrs Burns was actually in room 20 and complained due to state of room and therefore given the room we were to be in which was No9. Meals were lovely and couldnt fault the bar staff too.
