Old building with large modern attached part, situated next to Alnwick Castle and only a few hundred yards to the town centre. Most of the rooms and the restaurant are in the modern part. They are a good size, very well equipped and tastefully modern furnishings. The bed is on the firm side, the rooms are comfortable and quiet. There is an excellent choice of food for breakfast. Evening meals have good ingredients, nicely cooked and presented. Some of the combinations are a little unusual. All the staff are very pleasant We had only one niggle.The land behind the hotel slopes steeply downwards, and the car park is some way below the level of the hotel, which is accessed by climbing several flights of stairs. We heaved our luggage up the stairs to the hotel (I am 80 and my wife has arthritis), and when we reached reception we found that we could have unloaded our luggage at the front of the hotel, and one of the staff would have taken our car down to the car park. It would have been nice if this had been mentioned on the website, or when our booking was confirmed. Future guests take note! We enjoyed our stay and will stop again on our journey from Inverness to home

Siamo tornati all’hotel Venezia sia in marzo che in aprile: soggiorniamo regolarmente in questo hotel non solo per le cure termali, ma perchè secondo noi è davvero il top per trascorrere una settimana in un ambiente curato, piacevole e rilassante, coccolati dallo staff, sempre gentilissimo, oltre che professionale. Un ringraziamento particolare per la competenza e la consueta disponibilità dimostrate a Michela, Reservation Consultant, Ramona della spa, ad Arianna, Katia, Giulia, Claudia, Flavio del ristorante. Grazie anche allo chef e a tutta la cucina: nonostante le mie numerose intolleranze alimentari, come sempre sono riusciti ad adattare il menù alle mie esigenze. Abbiamo già prenotato per il prossimo autunno!

Tres tres dé?ue car il y avait une provatisation du restaurant donc fermé et par cause de cet évènement le spa etait rempli d enfants et pas du tout calme et impraticable

Very accommodating stay. Staff were very informative of the property. Clean and peaceful. We enjoyed the balcony with amazing views, as well as the spa areas for downtime.

Uma joia nas margens do Douro. Café da manha excelente. Funcionários ótimos e instala??es muito boas.

Grande chambre, calme et propre .En revanche le matin pas d’eau chaude … pour un h?tel 4??c’est moyen. Concernant les équipements, la piscine est moyennement entretenue, l’échelle est cassée , il y a des bêtes noires qui flottent, si bien qu’en prenant ma douche il y en a une qui est tombée de mon maillot. Le sauna est agréable mais le détecteur de mouvement permettant de laisser la lumière allumée nous oblige à nous lever régulièrement et ne permet pas une détente optimale .

Our room was beautifully appointed and included everything needed for a relaxing 2 night stay. We especially appreciated the little bottle of fresh milk in the tiny fridge.

Upon our arrival, we were whisked into the Bar Rotonde for a welcoming glass of delicious champagne. Our room on the top floor, was light filled and beautifully appointed, overlooking perfectly manicured grounds. Sumptuous linens and a comfy bed always add to a wonderful stay. The hotel arranged for a visit to Maison Ruinart which is quite close to the property. While much of our dining exploration in Reims was mostly "off property" (Arbane, L'assiette Champenoise and Sacre Burger)... our last evening, we were able to have dinner at the Brasserie Le Jardin, which was excellent. We look forward to returning!

At the reception they were very kind and welcomed us very well, the room was spacious and clean, we had a bathtub
