If you are tired of faceless, corporate hotels, and looking for something that offers personality and warmth then look no further. My wife is "Mrs Clean" so it is a rare event to stay somewhere where there is no complaints about cleanliness. My wife loved the Anton Guest House. Lovely white fluffy towels, crisp clean sheet, clean bathroom. My wife's comment "we've stayed in 5 star hotels that aren't this clean." Are there any complaints... the only issue and this is personal and may not affect you... the super king bed was massive, but very hard to sleep on, I really needed a soft topper or something to make a luxurious bed into a comfortable bed. Was it bad enough to reduce our rating of the guest house, usually yes... BUT on this occasion "No" because of the overwhelming and lovely hospitality of Louise. Louise (and her husband) really make you feel welcome, you are a special guest to them and they treat you as such. Friendly, accommodating and happy that you are sharing their hospitality. I have given then 5 stars because it would simply be wrong for the hardness of the bed to detract from the hospitality of Louise.

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel per 2 notti e non avrei mai voluto andarmene. Qui vi sentite come foste a casa, non mancano mai un sorriso, un saluto e una chiacchiera da tutto lo staff, compreso i proprietari che sono meravigliosi. Eccezionale la colazione con una vasta scelta di prodotti tipici e locali. La cena è di una qualità incredibile che in pochi hotel trovi. La spa e la piscina sono la vera chicca, nuovissime, calde, confortevoli e pulite. Insomma, se volete sentirvi coccolati, venite qui! Non ve ne pentirete.

The room was very clean. We would appreciate a mirror near an outlet. The noise level was higher than appreciated, otherwise, a decent visit.

Loved everything, it's hard to find any faults. Rooms were really nice and we loved the family business being so involved in cooking, waiting at the tables and the informal feel of the whole place. Fabulous curry buffet and one of the best breakfasts throughout our 3 week trip to Sri Lanka served happily for us at 10am after returning from our safari in Udawalawa. Great pool to relax in and overall Nature House was incredible value for money.

For $300 a night I feel I need to be fully refunded of $600. There was no security door. It was taped open so you didn’t need a card to get in. It was extremely hot and no air-conditioning was available. The smoke alarm went off twice in the middle of the night and we called the front desk and no one answered.
