The staff were very helpful and me us at the train station. The hotel is very nice in keeping with the historic surroundings. The rooms are big, warm and very clean with excellent shower and bath tub. Very easy to get to the Main Street but on a nice quite alleyway. Staff were very good at arranging drivers inside and for outside the city wall trip to temples. Both Chinese and Western breakfast options were very tasty. Overall an excellent hotel and service.

Abhishek & Sachin were fab host at Madiza They were courteous and very accommodating with all our request . 4 friends on a 1 day trip had a memorable dinner evening. Can't say enough of the quality of food , fab ambience and happy faces to serve you thru the evening.

Despite confirming the airport transfer in advance (which was included), no one showed up to pick us up. We arrived by our own means in the middle of the night, with children and no assistance. The check-in process was completely disorganized. They failed to provide the rooms we had booked, and resolving the issue took a long time — in the early hours of the morning — which was extremely inconvenient and unacceptable.

A lovely place to stay, would highly recommend. Got there rather early which wasn't a problem, very handy location for the local area. Room was very clean the bed very comfy, the shower was fantastic and the breakfast was great............

The home was extremely small we had to leave our luggage in the living room, because it wouldn't fit upstairs in the bedrooms. The bedrooms and bathroom were small as well. The bathroom smelled like mould and some mildew/mold could be seen around the edges, but I think the smell comes from a deeper issue. There was no paper towels or towels to dry dishes, and no clothes dryer, yet there was a washer The beds were not comfortable at all and to top it off, there was NO WiFi and no heat! There were no instructions left about how to use anything-except how to remove the garbage! It did have parking which was a relief. If you are a student, from any other country, or travelling for work I would not recommend this place as it will leave you unable to stay connected to your school, work or social support circle.

Before writing this review, I thought for too long about whether I should write this or not. I wish people didn't know how friendly and warm the staff at this hotel is. I wish other people didn't know how happy it is to eat a delicious breakfast while listening to the sound of birds and carriages and the sea breeze. I wish people didn't know how enjoyable it is to walk back to room with a clean and beautifully maintained garden. Above all, I hope the others don't know how fantastic it is to sit on the beach in front of the hotel and drink beer while watching the sunset. I hope that when I travel here again, people will notice what this place is good and it won't be so full that I won't be able to stay here. I was planning to stay on the Gili for two days, but stayed for two more. Although I had to give up southern Bali tour, I was able to have a happier time thanks to it. I don't want to go home. I don't want to go to work.
