Very comfortable stay, room was clean and tidy, beds really comfy we stayed in the family room because I wanted a bath, plenty of hot water and towels. Staff friendly and helpful only one minor criticism a bedside light would have been handy other than that couldn't fault it. Very quiet despite being on a main road.
Excellent Inn B&B - super friendly polite staf. good pub food excellent meal deal ￡16 for a main course and a pint pp. Double whiskey ￡5. Good size room. Ensuite with a bath (took a while to fill but was fine). here is a bit of boise from th pub area below but nothing too bad Breakfast was very good. Noticed locals, customers and passers by coming in to have a breakfast which is a good sign. Much Wenlock is a lovely place - plenty to see and walk around. Overall a very pleasant one night stopover - will certainly return for maybe a bt longer when in the area again.
The bed was very comfy and the room a reasonable size. The shower was very small and every time we used it or flushed the toilet it sounded like an industrial drill was coming though the wall. Also there was a nasty stain on the carpet that looked like blood. Ok
Anniversaries for our friends, from Kent, and ourselves. Have used the Fox, in the past, regularly bur not so much recently. I understand new management is in town and I have to say our friends were very impressed by everything about the Fox, as were we. It was a Monday and not busy - the food was excellent - the service excellent - atmosphere excellent and choice of background music outstanding. If you are a Dorset resident or visitor get down there and support this great, traditional pub/inn. You will not be disappointed
Beautiful relaxing country Inn with top notch service and hospitality Spoke to my fellow countryman Brett to enquire they were open because on my phone Safari and google were telling us it wasn’t open Brought this to their attention as would have been gutted if we hadn’t booked as it was everything we needed and more :) Booked in the morning of our stay without knowing what an absolute gem we were going to . Sat in the bar with locals who were very friendly Greeted and checked in by Brett and sorry can’t remember the other guys name ( but was super friendly too ) Sunday Roast Real ale Cocktail All the very best Relaxing quiet nights sleep The best Bramble Toiletries Huge soft Bath Sheets Super comfy King room Spotlessly clean Warm And plenty of tea , coffee and homemade biscuits Superb Hospitality Thank you guys Can’t wait to come back Our favourite new place :) We going to try a short break in the stunning lodges next time
We stayed here as a last minute thing and I am so glad we chose here. Our room was so clean, we couldn’t fault a thing. The food was absolutely gorgeous. We had an evening meal and then breakfast in the morning. I will be talking about our stay for months to come! We will definitely be going back in the near future.
Wow what a beautiful room, lovely beams in the ceiling, the bed was so comfortable. The room was spotless. Staff are amazing, excellent customer service. The breakfast was lovely. This is such a beautiful location in the Dorset countryside.
Absolutely beautiful surroundings, lovely and clean and very welcoming. Very warm welcome, great menu and great quality food, we only had a light bite but still great food, well worth the money. Didn’t catch the names of the chap and lady on when we visited (Monday 17th June lunchtime) but they were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. You’re about an hour away for us but we would definitely be coming back again. Thankyou
Ali and her team could not have been more welcoming, helpful, and responsive to make memorable the 3 nights 15 of my walking group stayed at the Fox, and 18 of us ate there each evening. The Fox is brilliantly located in stunningly beautiful North Dorset countryside with glorious walks in all directions, and is less than an hour from the Dorset Jurassic Coast for more spectacular walks. The dinners and breakfasts were great, with packed lunches also available .
Fantastic, loved every minute of the 2 nights we stayed. Service is exceptional, food scrumptious, from breakfast to dinner. Beautiful setting, quiet, comfortable, room was relaxing and we slept wonderfully well. I would recommend to all.
