This is a gem of a hotel - we arrived very late and left in the early hours due to catching a flight from Birmingham airport (10 mins away). So needless to say we didn’t see a great deal, but our room was stylish and spotless. If we are to fly out of Birmingham in the future we will ensure we give ourselves enough time to sample the restaurant etc.
The Granary is a fabulous B&B and Joyce is a wonderful host. We were met with tea and muffins, a lovely touch, the rooms were great and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Breakfast was a real highlight and Joyce’s knowledge of the local area was vast and very useful. Thank you for a superb stay and if we are ever in the same area again we will be back.
Perfect Stay
We stayed here for a short overnight break - the welcome was warm & the accommodation was fantastic. It was very clean, comfortable & perfect for our needs. Complimentary soaps & shower gel were appreciated, as were the coffee/tea/biscuits which were good quality. The room was tastefully decorated & had a lovely calm feel to it. The bed was very comfortable & breakfast was fresh & delicious with lots of choice. Would highly recommend & we will stay here again.

Great facilities, allocated parking, excellent shower, air conditioning perfect breakfast, spotlessly clean and a credit to the lovely owners.
The positives: Le Barn is a huge, natural and beautiful place. It’s surrounded by fields with horses and a gorgeous forest. There is ample cycling, walking and horse riding and a pond for swimming. It’s great for children and families and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay with some caveats. What needs improving in my opinion : 1) The food could be so much better. Le Barn grow many or all of the vegetables they use but the menu is repetitive and quite small. Despite the limited choices, the execution is not always successful and we certainly had a number of disappointing meals. The same can be said for every meal and the children’s options. Fresh bread and croissants are a given in France; there is no excuse to not providing them. 2) Swimming: I was looking forward to some wild swimming but the pond is not all that enticing; The water is very muddy and sometimes smells. A natural swimming pool would be a much nicer option and would get much more use. 3) Accommodation is adequate but a better shower ( rather than a bath with a plastic curtain) would have been appreciated.

Five stars and wholly deserved! Stayed for two days and will definitely return. Felt like a proper home from home. From the warm welcome from the owner, Joyce, to the really comfy bed and an excellent full Welsh breakfast, a stay at The Granary is a must!
Recently returned from a weekend at this gem of a place, such a stunning location, with wonderful garden and countryside views. The accommodation is kept immaculately with the most hospitable and wonderful host Joyce - who cooks up the most fantastic breakfast. I would highly recommend a stay here, you will not be disappointed!!!
Our hosts couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome. The room was excellent, with a really comfortable bed, and spotless bathroom. The breakfast choices were plenty for everyone. The Full English being my choice and was excellent. Recommend to everyone.
Amazing b&b!!! We were a group staying for two nights as we were attending a wedding nearby. Karen & Adrian are fantastic hosts & such lovely people to deal with. The beds were the comfiest we ever slept on, breakfast was delicious, the service was fantastic & the place was spotless. It’s set in a gorgeous little village and the accommodation itself is beautiful . Karen was so kind to allow us a late check out, she also let us leave our bags in breakfast room all day as we were not flying home until evening. They even offered to drop us to wedding venue. Highly recommend The Barn. Thanks for a great stay.
