We stayed at The Granary the first weekend of December 2025 and had a wonderful stay there. Upon arrival we were met by Joyce, who is such a lovely lady. She made us tea and delicious Welsh cakes, which we quickly devoured in the lounge, whilst meeting another couple who’d arrived shortly before us. Our room was very cosy with large en suite comprising of toilet, shower and a gorgeous roll top bath. Perfect for relaxing in after a wet and windy day on Pen-y-fan. The breakfasts were tasty and filling and the home made jams exceptional. Everything about our weekend stay there was perfect and we will definitely be back in the Spring.
L’endroit a tout pour être sympa, au grand air et pas trop loin de Paris, au milieu des chevaux… mais l’h?tellerie, surtout quand elle se revendique 4 étoiles, ?a ne s’invente pas ! Dans les chambres, l’entretien est fait au minimum : une ampoule ne fonctionne pas, une baignoire ne se vide pas, le chauffage n’est pas branché alors qu’il caille dehors… Les espaces communs sont rikiki autour de la réception, indigne d’un tel endroit, et que dire de la salle de loisirs désertique avec son babyfoot déglingué. ? Deux points positifs quand même : le personnel est adorable et la qualité de la bouffe irréprochable. Mais dans l’ensemble la gestion laisse à désirer et nous ne reviendrons pas.
Joyce has been a wonderful host over our 4 night stay. The Granary is very comfortable and positioned in beautiful countryside with walks straight from the doorstep. Hearty breakfasts are not to be missed with a varied menu to suit all tastes. We will be back! The Felin Fach Griffin, The three Horse Shoes and the Red Lion are great for dinner.
Week-end gateway entre filles, tout était parfait ! Petit-déjeuner, d?ner, gentillesse du personnel, localisation, spa, chambres,… et en plus l’h?tel est pet friendly + possible de charger sa voiture électrique gratuitement ! Les activités (yoga notamment) sont aussi inclues dans le prix de la chambre, ce qui est un vrai plus ! Je recommande vivement !
The Granary ist ein Juwel. Die Zimmer mit angrenzendem Badezimmer sind gross und mit allem Komfort ausgestattet. Das Frühstück (nach Wahl) ist ausgezeichnet und mit viel Liebe und Sorgfalt zubereitet - ein Genuss. Joyce versteht ihr Handwerk. Sie ist hilfreich, grosszügig und lustig. Dieses B&B ist mit das Beste, was wir auf unseren Reisen gefunden haben. Jederzeit wieder, wir haben es seeehr genossen. Thank you Joyce.
Lovely little place , parking is tight . Super clean and fresh . I never stayed for breakfast as up early but he made me a take out bag with fruit, yogurt , pastries etc which was really nice of him.
Also had complimentary biscuits , water and crisps which was a nice touch
After a mixup where there was no bedding for the sofa bed, the owner of the property sorted it out very quickly for me. The property makes great use of the space - design is great. Makes a perfect base from which to explore the area. We will return if we come down to the area again
