We booked with Big 4 jetty caravan pk and were promised a drive through site and given a site number by the receptionist.After hanging up the phone and looking at the site map we realised the site number given was not drive through. We rang them and got a ring back after 4 hours. The person who rang back told me that she was not sure what had happened but would check and ring me back. No phone call came and instead we got an email stating that they do not allocate sites until arrival. I rang again and left a message but by next day no contact from them. I sent an email saying that if we did not get a drive through site we would need to cancel but could someone please ring me. We then received an email saying that they had cancelled our reservation,refunded the money and charged a $25 cancellation fee. I rang again the day after as I had not received any contact and the lady said she was the only one there as it was Sunday but she would get one of the managers to ring me on Monday. It’s Wednesday night now and still no contact. I have never been rude or abusive and have spoken very politely every call. If they treat all their customers this way I think they need to take a long hard look at themselves. And all this from a Park that charges $89 per night for a powered site. We have now booked with the Beachfront park at Victor Harbor an our dealings with them have incredibly friendly and accomodating.
