When we arrived no one was on Reception to check us in. Had to go and get someone from bar to check us in. We were told we had already checked into room 9. We had explained we had not checked in and girl said the key is away. She then got another member of staff who also advised us we had already checked in and its room 9. Then she got owner who asked us if there was something wrong with room? We explained again we have not been in a room and just arrived. The owner asked us if the signature on the paper was ours. We had explained no and he didnt know who was in our room then. We after 15 mins of a carry on was given the furthest away room at the end of the building which at night only had the light from outside in the corridor, so it was dark to walk in. The room really needed updating and needed some improvements too which you can see from our photos. Mould and dampness was an issue and having a large window in the toilet that you can see shapes from outside so they can see the shapes of us from inside with no way of covering this window. Dead flies in lights and also squashed into walls. We kept being told that our surname was Burns but then think that Mr & Mrs Burns was actually in room 20 and complained due to state of room and therefore given the room we were to be in which was No9. Meals were lovely and couldnt fault the bar staff too.
