Serious breach of booking conditions and safety risk I booked and paid in full for accommodation with breakfast included and received an official booking confirmation. On the night before arrival, the property contacted me via WhatsApp, which is not an official communication channel of the booking platform, claiming there was an “emergency.” They offered to relocate us to another property without breakfast, although breakfast was part of the paid booking. I refused to communicate outside the platform and contacted Booking customer support. After that, the property suggested that I voluntarily cancel the reservation, which would have meant giving up the confirmed booking conditions. As I was traveling with my disabled mother, I refused to cancel. Despite this, the property unilaterally canceled my reservation without my consent and without providing a clear or documented justification. A refund was promised; however, at the time of writing, the funds have not been returned. As a result of the property’s actions, I was placed in a situation where I seriously risked being left without accommodation for the night, which represents a significant safety concern, especially for guests with disabilities or elderly travelers. I consider this behavior unacceptable and a violation of basic hospitality standards. I cannot recommend this property.
