Not a friendly experience at all. Before booking, please make sure the hotel actually gives you the room you selected. Even with a confirmed booking, they might refuse to provide your reserved room and instead send you to another hotel nearby, claiming that “maintenance work” is going on. This happened to us — we had to walk nearly 15 minutes to another hotel from the one we originally booked. It was very inconvenient and disappointing, especially after having a confirmed reservation. I would strongly advise future guests to double-check their booking and get written confirmation from the hotel before arrival to avoid this kind of situation.
