While the staff was great (super helpful, warm--everything) and you can't beat the combo of having a kitchenette in your room and laundry services right near the front desk, I'd say that the place itself is a bit worn-down. For instance, the carpets were really dirty and had stains on them. Since I was staying for several days and couldn't bear looking at the stains, I cleaned them myself...and the majority of them came out. But why am I doing this? I don't blame housekeeping (who are really lovely, hardworking women) who are told to go into rooms an change towels and sheets and clean surfaces. It's really up to mangagement to go through the rooms and which rooms need extra attention (and hire a carpet cleaner! Or get new carpets!) I noticed (only later) that some reviews ALSO mentioned the carpets also, so it's not just me. Since it got 9 out of 10, I just booked it, pressed for time. This really could be a great option for budget travelers if the management just cared a bit more about upkeep.
