At first glance the hotel looked fine, the reception looked bright and well presented but that’s where the good feelings ended. I wasn’t expecting a lot but really what I received was below that level, much below the most basic of standards. The walls were marked and dirty, the mattress possessed not a single shred of comfort. After explaining my issue with the guy from reception, they were so kind to switch my room and later found a second mattress protector had been put on to the bed in my room. This was because I spoke Chinese and persisted that the empty rooms had not yet been checked into. They were quick to change this and I appreciated that. I understand that the pandemic has been a shocking time for those who are in the hotel business but this property needs a complete overhaul. I had no fault with the staff but the management would do well to make the rooms more comfortable, the staff don’t deserve disgruntled customers.
