There was something quite magical about our recent stay at the Marton Arms. No, it wasn't the beauty of this quaint and ancient buiding. It wasn't even the setting in this quiet hamlet opposite a historically noteworthy church and nestled in such breathtaking scenery. It wasn't even that we slept so soundly in our warm and comfy bed, or that the room had everything we needed, kept spotlessly clean and in good order. It wasn't the excellent selection of local beers or the superb quality of the wines. It wasn't the impeccable quality of the meals selected from an all-embracing menu plus daily specials, all cooked and presented in award worthy style. What made our stay so unforgettable, and guarantees that we will be returning, was the staff. Yes, of course they were all professional and respectful but, more importantly, they were all so helpful, warm and friendly. The owner, the manager, the waiting and bar staff, the receptionist, the cleaners; all made you feel as if you were being welcomed in to their family. Nothing was too much trouble and they truly all worked together to ensure that their 'friends' (we were never made to feel like just 'customers') had a wonderful experience. The Marton Arms is a very happy place, and they want to share their happiness with you. Don't miss out!
