Myself and a colleague booked this hotel for an event this week at the Excel. However, at very late notice, both of our bookings have been cancelled. As a result, all the other hotels in the area are fully booked or off the scale expensive (way beyond any normal expenses policy!) The bad news was received via a message through our booking agent. My colleague called the hotel, who assured him that the bookings were still OK, but then more messages were received over the weekend contradicting this. Nobody answers the phone - it just hangs up after around 10 minutes of waiting.
