The hotel is new and conveniently located right at the exit of Suzhoujie subway station. If you’re planning to travel to or around this area, the location is excellent. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping malls within walking distance, which makes it a practical base for exploring the city. However, I experienced several issues with the service and staff attitudes during my stay. Instead of a regular phone system, the hotel uses an intercom to communicate with the front desk. On multiple occasions, I contacted them—for example, to borrow an umbrella or check on deliveries—and each time, the staff sounded reluctant to assist. It often felt as though they were pretending not to hear me and their responses came across as careless and unprofessional. Additionally, my partner, who is a foreigner and does not speak Chinese, answered one of the calls to our room. Once the staff realised he didn’t speak the language, they simply hung up without trying to assist further, which was quite disappointing. Despite being out for most of the day, our room had not been cleaned by 4 p.m. We had to call and request housekeeping ourselves, and again, the response was curt and dismissive. I genuinely hope the management can look into improving the service standards and provide better training for the front desk team. The hotel has potential, but the service experience really affected our overall impression.
