Beautiful nature, flowers, trees, property , plus great service and food. We had one of the little eco rooms with a terrace looking out over the sea. Even though it was nice, I would opt for the romantic lodge with a private pool next time. These seem to have the most privacy. The reception with very welcoming, staff is excellent. Everyone was exceptional And always smiling and friendly. So nice to experience when one is traveling . We really enjoyed Eliana at breakfast. She's a delight , very helpful and also remembers how one likes their breakfast. All of the food we enjoyed was of a exceptionally high quality. And the setting of the restaurant whether one is outside or inside is very beautiful . For evening dinner, the restaurant manager is also a sommelier and gave us incredibly good advice on the food and the wine plus general information. Just so sorry I don't remember his name at the moment. Interestingly enough, the massage therapist has the same name...ending in an a of course. She was also fantastic, had two massages two nights in a row. We viewed a nearby garden recommended by the hotel, which was fascinating, racipure, I think. We also drove up the North face of Mount Etna. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperating so we did not get to go up to the top. However, it was still fascinating to see from a distance and we did walk up a lava trail. Donna Carmela was a welcome experience. We were there four nights. We would definitely return.
