Scottburgh has never really recovered. It all looks tatty. The hotel rooms have been revamped and its an attemped at resuccitation. The grounds and facilities are well kept and the food is good. A rose among the thorns. The walkway to the beach looks and feels tatty. The beachfront is tatty and worn .. The coffee station is a disaster in the mornings..you need two of those. The all in is great idea. The hotel is noisy though. The last night was a disaster. The staff is very noisy in the mornings and then at 2am the generators come on. These are located right at the rooms !!! Imagine the noise.. Senior management was not visible ..maybe on leave...not in the style of other dream hotels. Going back? Probably not.
