The Bury inn is by no means the best of premier inns however it’s usually passable until this occasion. On entering the room I was greeted by a strong drainage smell and a large bleach stain on the carpet by the door . I immediately opened the window to try and get rid of the smell . I tried to have a wash and there was no hot water i managed the first evening hoping it would be ok this morning but no it wasn’t ! I couldn’t shower and had to wash in cold water . I reported to the lady who was on reception she said she would record the issue and gave me a number to ring customer services when I got home . This I did and without question I have been refunded the ￡77 charge in full which I am satisfied with. Over recent visits I’ve noticed standards are definitely slipping, rooms are drab and crying out for maintenance. Premier inn always had the edge over the travel lodge, however that now seems to have reversed and traveloge properties now seem much better
