Guest 时间:2026/02/01One night stay booked with breakfast. Good reviews of the Hotel, so reasonable expectations for my stay. Arrived shortly after 18.00 on Saturday evening to find front door locked and a note inside to phone the Hotel to gain access. It was pouring with rain at the time and wasn't a pleasant experience standing in the rain trying to get someone to open the door, and also prevent my phone from getting damaged in the rain. There's no porch over the outside door and you are at the mercy of the elements. Not a good start. If it is essential to lock the access door to the Hotel at 6pm, why not lock the internal porch door instead of the external one. At least you can shelter in the dry porch to make the phone call. Room 13. No coat hook to hang my wet coat on. Coat hangers in the wardrobe, but no trouser hanger to hang my wet trousers on. Wifi signal in Room 13 very weak and kept dropping out. At 21.00 someone entered my room! The Yale type lock on the room was so flimsy, any key could open it. A dead bolt on the door would prevent unauthorised access. Moved to room 21. Again poor/non existent wi-fi, and no coat hooks. Apart from the points noted, the rooms were comfortable and practical. The breakfast, as noted by others was excellent. I was given a receipt for my payment when I checked in, different to the amount I paid. My payment was direct to **********, not to the Hotel. ********** have provided me with a receipt, the Hotel does not need to provide another one.酒店回复:The front door was shut as it was raining and unfortunately the front porch gets really wet and soggy if we leave it open, there is a doorbell to the left of the front door and the phone number in the window as you say to call if the doors locked, also a smoking shelter to the side of the front door, you could have took shelter in until the staff could get to you. After everyone who was in the building on Saturday evening had checked out on the Sunday, we took all the keys up to room 13 to try them in the door to see if it would open as obviously we don't want this to happen again and none of them worked, the only thing that could have been possible is if someone had a personal key that happened to open that door ??? The door lock was loose ( now fixed) but you still needed a key to get in , so flummoxed as to what's happened there. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your breakfast and we take on board the coat hook and trouser hanger. You booked through a virtual card system, so we can only provide a receipt for the amount we receive ( which is the advertised amount less the commission for the booking) as you state you can get a receipt from hotels.com/expedia for the full amount that you pay them.
