Great stay .... i needed some space for some personal issues, staff brilliant ... pool, jacuzzi, steam room unexpected bonus ..... Sandown ideal place to reflect and readjust
The staff at The Wight clearly care about their job & were very warm & keen to help. There is excellent information available about the island.
The hotel is dated, but very clean, coordinated & in good repair.
The photos advertised were accurate.
We didn't try the facilities as only stayed one night.
Breakfast was cooked to order & we were able to chose our items individually. It was basic but reasonable. Soya milk available for me as a vegan, but no vegan spread or protein alternatives.
The mattresses could do with being replaced as they were a bit soft & the springs could be felt a bit.
On the whole would recommend for someone staying in the area.
The Wight Holiday
Our stay at the Wight Hotel in Sandown was absolutely brilliant. Full Monty breakfast was first class. The staff were great - nothing was too much trouble for them; so friendly and helpful. we were made to feel very welcome and soon made ourselves at home enjoying the friendly Wight atmosphere and all the services which were available. some great nights in the bar with the entertainment. The hotel is located close to all the amenities and bus stops. what more could you want for a great holiday in a great hotel.
Very conveniently located, with plenty of parking.
Staff very helpful.
Shower room was quite small, with a big step into the shower,which may be a challenge for the less mobile.Couldn't get kettle under the tap to fill it up.
Swimming pool was an added bonus, with jacuzzi, sauna & steam room.
Breakfast very good. Decor bit dated, but everywhere clean.
Excellent in every way. Brilliant breakfast menu, Staff friendly and not intrusive. Fabulous swimming pool and great location. Will certainly be going back.
For all the important stuff: staff knowledge, information given when checking in (in regards to local services etc), peace etc. The Wight was exactly what I needed. I was allowed to check in early with no hassle/extra fees. The staff were always friendly and helpful if I needed anything, but the welcome book provided so much information that I rarely needed to ask questions.
