Had the most amazing stay belated birthday!!! From arrival to checkout it was just fab. Had dinner on the terrace and the food was amazing with all the vegetables from the garden which where superb. Room with new decor was stunning (only critique pillows one wasnt enough 2 was too much). Breakfast was lovely we will definitely be back. Well done all the team for making our stay so enjoyable!!!
We had an early anniversary overnight with dinner a couple of weeks ago and it’s fair to say we arrived with pretty big expectations…. The reality however was better than we could have ever expected, even with us both having a long background in hotels, restaurants and events. From start to finish, Ali, Barry and the whole team were supremely welcoming, engaging, knowledgeable and passionate about the product, the guest experience and interface in a way we’ve not experienced the equal of, despite having visited some top notch places. My wife particularly loved our suite, saying it was fabulous!!! Food at both dinner and breakfast was great, featuring the kind of stuff you actually want to eat, eschewing the formulaic and frankly tiresome tasting menus found elsewhere. service was slick and friendly, rooms, decor - stylishly understated and traditional but with some quirky twists throughout the property, it kind of keeps you guessing as to what’s next, but with a feeling of being neither over stylised or trying too hard (a very tricky but hugely successful balance). Fair to say we loved it, thanks for making it so special!!!!!
We have been to Cromlix twice a year for afternoon tea for a few years. This has always been a special treat, excellent food in such a special environment. Unfortunately on this occasion we felt Cromlix has lost it's "luxury" ambience. No greeting once through the main door, we had to look for a member of staff in the restaurant to take us to our table. Teas are now in the restaurant, the library used to be much more refined. The savoury plate was put down with no description of the items. The cake stand followed and again no description. Tasty scones & cakes but all very stodgy. Nothing light or a bit different. Overall, we were disappointed. Cromlix you have been lovely but it is time to move on elsewhere for the luxury treat we look forward to.
Had a delicious lunch to celebrate mum’s birthday. Staff were so welcoming, helpful & friendly. Food was delicious. We chose the Vietnamese soup, chicken liver parfait, rib eye & mini burgers. Every bite was so tasty. Nice touch of profiterole birthday plate. Mum had a ball, a real memory for her. Thank you.
From the moment we were welcomed through the front door to our car being driven to the door and our case placed in the boot, the service and care was faultless. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional and Cromlix was a very peaceful oasis to relax in.
