Guest：Owners were very outgoing and personable
Guest：We went to Jaco, Costa Rica for our first trip out of the country since the pandemic began. Mike and Lillian, the owners of the La Sirens boutique hotel met us as we pulled into the hotel parking lot. They took really good care of us and so did Uriel their go to guy at La Sirena. The beach sunsets are exquisite, ocean temp was about 85 and there were lots of beautiful birds (scarlet macaws) flying about. We saw monkeys on a boat trip in the mangroves and even visited a chocolate farm. We did a day trip to Tortuga Island and saw whales breaching out of the Pacific Ocean on the way. Wonderful hikes near Jaco, with expansive vistas atop mountains surrounding Jaco. The local restaurants were very good- uniquely prepared ( sea bass steamed in banana leaves). La Sirena itself is clean and everyone is friendly. I slept very well. I will be returning. Thank you Mike and Lillian for making this vacation so special. Pura Vida!
Guest：So the positive first - cute hotel and very close to the beach. Receptionist was very sweet and the pool was clean and a nice option to have. Areas for improvement - there was no breakfast as advertised on their website. Not only that, there was no bartender or food available either. HUGE disappointment. Also never received the free bottles of water listed on their amenities. Here’s a big one - no full service spa. I think you can request to have someone come to your room but this is advertised as a full service spa on site???? Lastly, when these things were brought to their attention they refused to give us $ consideration and offered a free breakfast (from the restaurant that isn’t open?) the day we were leaving. Not my idea of customer service for false advertising. Lots of construction next door and the guys working there are VERY loud and partying until 11 pm. Whistling and carrying on. Simply just not ok. Understand the hotel can’t control but you should be aware before booking. Would not stay here again.

Key highlights include the location (steps from the beach), great pool, stellar landscaping and atmosphere (attention to detail), super clean, rooms include many amenities and is a very comfortable/relaxing space, friendly/attentive staff including owners Mike and Lilian who are incredible hosts - will go above and beyond to make your stay memorable and meet your wants/needs (accommodate your asks and also make excellent recommendations). Highly recommend a stay at La Sirena - top notch relaxation and surf/beach vibes.
