  • Guest：Outstanding lodge and quite possibly the best in New Zealand ! Very comfortable, well equipped with high quality amenities. The hosts were spectacularly welcoming and hospitable. Arrived with the intention of staying one night, tore myself away after 10 nights ! More than 100% recommendation. Not to be missed if you visit Southland.
  • Guest：Staff were amazing..... made us a great coffee before we hit the trail and home made muffins. When we arrived we were offered homemade cinnamon scrolls. Sadly I had no room but others said they were the best they'd had. Rooms were very clean as was toilets/showers. Just as we left we were given some insect repellant for use on the track and our photo taken. Only reason I couldn't give 5 stars was because our bed was not very comfy (others staying did say there's were fine though) however it also didn't help that some guys in the room next to us arrived very late and made lots of noise keeping us awake all night. But other than that a great place to stay and so handy being at start of trail. Would def recommend.
  • Guest：We finished our tramp in the rain ,and we were kindly invited to use the facilities at the lodge .This was amazing as our kids who finished first could warm up by the fire with hot drinks and play games .Kelie was a incredible host ,next time we will stay at the lodge for sure .
  • Guest：The accommodation was clean and tidy, service friendly and the extra touches like delicious coffee, and cinnamon scrolls on our return form the completing the Hump Ridge track made it a home away from home. Would love to return with my family.
