Brand: JW Marriott

Well-being is more than one thing. It’s the moments you need it to be. The moments you never expect. And the ones you never want to leave.

JW MARRIOTT. STAY IN THE MOMENT®.

Our senses—specifically scent, sound, and taste—have the unique ability to transport us to different places (if only for a moment!), lock in lasting memories, and instantly improve mood. JW Marriott’s new global brand partnership with Flamingo Estate, a California-based lifestyle company known for its herbaceous bath and body products and freshly picked pantry provisions, is designed to take guests on a journey that “traverses multiple sensorial touchpoints” and “elevates the path to well-being,” says Bruce Rohr, Vice President and Global Brand Leader, JW Marriott.

To welcome guests around the world and create an even more memorable stay, Flamingo Estate developed an exclusive garden-infused scent, a nature-inspired sound program, and a handcrafted honey for JW Marriott. “Engaging all of the senses is crucial for enhancing the guest experience at our properties, as it creates a holistic and memorable environment that immerses guests fully, fostering deeper connections and lasting impressions,” says Rohr. Richard Christiansen, founder of Flamingo Estate, echoes these sentiments: “Both brands believe in real hospitality and it’s at the heart of what we do—the rare art of making someone feel loved and cared for.”

  • Guest:My spouse and I spent 5 nights at JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge, and the experience exceeded all our expectations. The resort itself is absolutely stunning. The rooms are very large, beautifully designed, and of superb quality. The private jacuzzi was a real highlight, and overall the amenities are truly unique for this location. The gym is well equipped, and the pool and spa area are outstanding, including sauna, plunge pool, and steam bath – an incredible level of comfort in the heart of the Masai Mara. One aspect that really stood out compared to other lodges was the quality of the safari vehicles. The cars were excellent and clearly superior to many of the others we saw during our game drives, which made a big difference to comfort and viewing. What truly made this stay unique, however, was the service and the people. Our guide and driver, Eric, was exceptional. He was extremely knowledgeable, proactive, and genuinely cared about what we wanted to see and experience. He always asked about our preferences and tailored the game drives accordingly. Thanks to him, we were lucky enough to see the Big Five on back-to-back days, as well as witnessing an cheetah hunt – unforgettable moments. The photography team, especially Felix and Ian, were fantastic. We were provided with a Canon camera with an incredible zoom of up to 800mm, which made wildlife photography an amazing experience even for non-professionals. They gave us excellent tips in the field, helped us improve our shots, and took great care of editing and processing our photos. Their passion and attention really elevated the entire safari experience. The restaurant and bar team were absolutely wonderful. Eric, our waiter, was incredibly kind and attentive; Victor at the bar always made us feel welcome; Kilian was consistently great; and Dennis somehow managed to have coffee ready for us every morning at 5am before game drives. These are just a few names — there were many others who contributed to making our stay so special. What really touched us was how personal everything felt: everyone knew us by name, knew how our game drives had gone, and genuinely wanted to talk with us about what we had seen. It felt effortless and sincere, and reflects a service culture we have honestly never experienced anywhere else. Overall, this lodge is absolutely worth the money. Exceptional service, incredible people, beautiful rooms, and unforgettable wildlife experiences. Highly recommended, and we would return without hesitation.
  • Guest:My family spent blissful nights here and every minute was phenomenal. Best hotel stay we ever had. Jackson was our guide and he was EXCEPTIONAL and was truly the highlight of the trip. The service at the hotel was amazing. The manager Doris was so thoughtful and sent out for clothing from town when our baggage was lost. Frank at the front desk spent hours trying to located our luggage. Our waiter Benjamin and our bar tenders Victor and Eric were all fantastic. The property was immaculate and spectacular and James did a great job cleaning our room. The property and rooms were gorgeous.
  • Guest:I stayed 5 nights Dec into Jan 2026 in Tent 5 and it was enchanting. I ROAMED the entire Masai Mara twice each day with Francis as my guide. I was a solo rider but never felt alone as Francis kept us on track hitting all Big 5 in the first 2 days. But more than that the vibe he had and the rhythm of driving in Savannah was perfect. He knew exactly what I needed and he provided the best game drives and views that I will not soon forget. Spending almost 8 hours a day driving across the Mara felt effortless and rejuvenating with Francis at the helm. Thank You! I RESTED in-between game drives at the JW grounds taking in delicious meals on my time and was served by Patrick for every one of them. His gentle caring approach to service was refreshing. It is the type of service I love when dining out. No rushing, perfect recommendations and attentive yet allowed space to be in the moment and enjoy. He is a treasure at JW. The Indian food was the best option for me on the menu most evenings. Veggie sandwich for lunch in the heat of the day was perfection. What can I say about the Bar Service at JW? Impeccable! Ask for an espresso martini when you get back from your evening game drive. Great list of spirits and beer and wine from Africa. The best part however are the bartenders, Victor and Dennis were non-stop all day every day. mixing drinks, playing music to get the vibe right, or just chatting about the day. I looked forward to seeing them each time I was chilling in the main lodge. Dennis bartended the sundowner experience and it was impeccable. Topping off my Champagne and providing my favorite chicken samosa, Dennis nailed that service in the bush as the sun went down. Speaking to Victor everyday was effortless and I hope to return and bring friends to experience his positivity and view on life. A true rockstar. Josiah was fantastic as well always smiling and saying hello as well as Noah who was quick with a smile and laugh. All of them really good people and a joy to be around. I stayed in Tent 5 and all was managed by Nelson who didn't miss a beat. Stocking my mini bar with beer and snacks he was on point! Whiskey and Gin stocked in room with mixers and all the bottled water you can drink. I was so busy I saw him in person only a few times as he moved like a ninja. Bed always made, towels refreshed and laundry done. He missed nothing and his hardworking did not go unnoticed. All of my activities, Balloon Safari, Spa, and transportation to/from airstrip was handled by Frank and Doris. Professional crew who handled everything for me. Arrangements for my delayed baggage and juggling of events were easy. Doris even provided a daily hug which was most appreciated. Pack light and fly to Keekorok Airstrip. All of the driving you will do I promise you will not want to take the 6 hour drive to Nairobi. JW made it easy to book everything ahead of time and pay by credit card. I also paid park fees by credit card at hotel when I arrived. Finally my l
  • Guest:What an extraordinary journey! Having explored every corner of our magnificent planet, I can unequivocally state that my recent stay at the JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge stands out as one of the most profoundly enriching and captivating experiences I have ever encountered. This establishment isn't just a place to stay; it is a meticulously crafted sanctuary that seamlessly marries unparalleled luxury with the raw, untamed beauty of the African bush. It truly offers the quintessential blend of immersive cultural engagement, thrilling adventure, and sophisticated comfort. From the moment of arrival, the personalized attention began with the assignment of our dedicated safari guide. Our guide, Lawrence, was simply phenomenal. His deep well of knowledge regarding the local wildlife, and their intricate behaviors transformed every game drive into an educational and awe-inspiring expedition. He possessed an uncanny ability to spot creatures we would have surely missed, and his captivating stories brought the landscape to life. Thanks to his expertise and dedication, we were incredibly fortunate to witness all of the "Big 5" within our first three days, an unforgettable highlight of the trip. Beyond the thrilling wildlife encounters, the lodge provided an invaluable opportunity for genuine cultural exchange. We were honored to engage with the vibrant Maasai community, both through unique experiences curated at the lodge and during a deeply moving visit to their village. These interactions offered a respectful and insightful glimpse into their traditions, daily lives, and profound connection to the land, adding an immeasurable layer of depth to our adventure. The level of service at the JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. Every member of the staff exuded genuine warmth and professionalism. Their ability to anticipate needs and remember personal preferences, down to the smallest detail, made me feel incredibly valued and genuinely cared for throughout my entire stay. It's rare to find such attentive service where one feels truly 'seen' and appreciated at every turn. And then, there was the food! The culinary offerings were a true delight. With five onsite gardens, the commitment to freshness was evident in every dish. Each meal was a celebration of local ingredients, expertly prepared and beautifully presented, offering a delicious journey for the palate. I wholeheartedly recommend the JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge to anyone seeking an extraordinary and deeply meaningful African safari experience. It transcends a mere vacation; it's an immersive luxury adventure that leaves an indelible mark on your soul.
