Guest user：Stayed here for a week, we really enjoyed our stay. The location is great it is close to bars and the hotel is only a short walk to the beach. We enjoyed the beer buckets on the terrace. The cocktails are amazing. They are reasonably priced. I also like the coffee they did with a little glass of Tia Maria or brandy. We stayed full board, i really enjoyed breakfast the poached eggs were perfect. The food at lunch and evening meal was lovely i always found something to have. I loved the salad bar with the different selection of meats. The staff are amazing and work really hard. A big thank you. We would definitely return to this hotel.
Guest user：Stayed at this hotel quite a few times, just had Christmas day here and boy what a fantastic day. We started off with appetisers and drinks on the terrace, followed by the most amazing Christmas dinner. The staff here are second to none and most definitely deserve the highest praise they work so hard to make sure that everyone is well looked after. And the food is unbelievable you would not get anything better if you stayed at any of the top London hotels. All I can say is if you want a fantastic Christmas with first class service and fantastic food then don't hesitate to come here.
Guest user：What can I say, little Britain in the sun. Best hotel food ever, breakfast is better than a Premier Inn etc restaurant. Meals are actually hot and I normally miss my gravy but available every day. The Christmas buffet was fantastic and the restaurant staff were an absolute credit to the hotel. As we booked direct, we were asked of any requests and received rooms directly in the morning sun, just what we wanted. Visited the Riviera Music Lounge, to see a few acts and Ruby Rox but it does repeat itself during a weeks stay. So visited across the road at the Explorers Lounge and uncle Ped’s, also visited other hotels in the group, they say you get a discount on drinks but you never get it. The cleaners were very friendly and also received a box of chocolates for Christmas. Only issue, don’t go up the hotel bar as one bar man, has a terrible attitude and charges you without giving you a receipt, no doubt putting the different in his back pocket. The terrace at the front, doesn’t get a great amount of winter sun and was quite cold and windy while we were there. Would I return of course, but be mindful that it is quite noisy. It maybe adults only but next door isn’t so you still get screaming kids. The booming music does go on most of the night and I could still hear underlying noise with the doors closed. There is a good selection of UK TV channels.
Guest user：Chose this Hotel due to the reviews but sadly was disappointed. We wouldn't class it as a 4 star, more a 3 star in our opinion. Plus points. Comfortable warm room with great mattresses. Excellent wifi in the rooms. Great location. Best shower we have ever had as it was really powerful and had nice fluffy towels. Storage space was adequate. Staff in buffet was very polite as was the lady looking after our room which was on the 3rd floor. The staff in the bars was also very good. Nice balcony's with table and two chairs. Cons. The entertainment wasn't very good. Was only brave enough to go on two occasions as we got put off by the resident comedy drag artist who wasn't funny at all. Maybe it was our fault by not going enough and only seeing a couple of acts but what we saw didn't do anything for the name of entertainment. The 5 euro per night for a safety deposit, which is non refundable, is a disgrace as was the 15euro per week for tea/coffee and milk. Cheaper buying them at the local supermarket or take your own and just buy the milk. The potential earning for the boxes over one year is over 180 thousand euros and for the tea/coffee is 77 thousand euro. That's only if the hotel is full for the year and everybody decides to accept the offer The TV which was just plonked on the dressing table, not wall mounted like in many modern hotels, was fine if only all the advertised channels worked and there was lots that didn't work. Why list then in the room when they don't work. Carpets in the corridors on the floors would benefit as the women walking up and down in their heels sounded like a samba band. The food in the restaurant was fine but nothing special, not a great choice on offer but acceptable and always managed to find something to eat. Didn't feel the need to dine out. The two lifts near reception are very slow and you could end up waiting some time. Only found out at the end of the holiday that there is a staff lift at the opposite end of corridor which plenty people where using. To sum up, its a decent 3 star but defiantly not a 4 star. I don't know if the management has changed over the last few month but I get the impression that they have cut quality and increased their pricing on safety boxes and tea/coffee/milk in the rooms.
