Brand: Hyatt Hotels and Resorts

Hyatt was founded by Jay Pritzker in 1957 when he purchased the Hyatt House motel adjacent to the Los Angeles International Airport. Over the following decade, Jay Pritzker and his brother, Donald Pritzker, working together with other Pritzker family business interests, grew the company into a North American management and hotel ownership company, which became a public company in 1962. In 1968, Hyatt International was formed and subsequently became a separate public company. Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International Corporation were taken private by the Pritzker family business interests in 1979 and 1982, respectively. On December 31, 2004, substantially all of the hospitality assets owned by Pritzker family business interests, including Hyatt Corporation and Hyatt International Corporation, were consolidated under a single entity, now Hyatt Hotels Corporation.

  • Guest user:Great place, very handy for transport - excellent staff who were always friendly and responsive. The lounge on 14 for the globalists amongst you is run by Rodo or Manuel, and both know how to mix a cocktail. Clean, good sized room, and lifts you never have to wait an age for.
  • Guest user:Beautiful hotel with the kindest staff! Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, you should absolutely book club access and enjoy the Regency Club - Rudolfo and Manuel will take excellent care of you. Breakfast at Muralis was the highlight of my trip. Aurora is the most amazing and attentive server and she has become a dear friend after my two weeks of staying here. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful and willing to do whatever it takes to give an amazing experience. Thank you Aurora, Jesus, Oscar, Andrea and everyone on staff at Muralis (sorry i forgot all of your names). Wonderful hotel and will never stay anywhere else in Mexico City!
  • Guest user:We came to Mexico City for a convention. The location was excellent being one block from the Pepsi Center WTC. We only had breakfast in the hotel and it was excellent for the three days that we enjoyed. There were also many restaurants and shopping facilities nearby.
  • Guest user:Here's my cons during my stayover: 1. I gave this hotel 4 out of 5 stars as I had a lost my black hard case eyeglasses during my 7 night stayover. I confronted the maid and left her a Spanish one too about my lost eyeglass black case. The maid said she didn't take it. ???? Suggestion: lock your personal belonging even if an eyeglass case. 2. It was rainy season in August 2024. I asked the front desk for a borrowed umbrella during my stay when it was thunderstorms nightly during my solo vacation. The hotel personnel stated that there 10 loaner umbrella's are used by other hotel guests. I asked 4 times during my thunderstorm nights. Suggestion: Hotel should have more than 10 loaner umbrellas for their hotel guests. 3. The walk in shower plumbing takes at least 5 minutes both the vanity and shower to get hot water. The shower design has a terrible*** flaw*** as the puddle water doesn't drain in the shower. Suggestion: The bathroom area should really have towel hooks at both the walls by the vanity sink and walk in shower door area. See picture where hotel can install towel hooks on the wood plank both ends by the bathroom entry. Improve the drain so puddle of water taking shower drains properly. 4. Element Lounge bar area should implement more outlets -or- USB ports around the area. See pictures. Pros from this hotel: 1. Hotel personnel all speak fluent English. 2. Squeaky clean hotel room by maid (except) one day which the maid didn't clean my croissant crumbs on the floor near the chaise grey lounge chair. 3. Outstanding view from my corner room 1028. 4. Fabulous bus stop across the hotel. 5. Less than 8 minute walk to World Trade Center (WTC). 6. Ample fast food as well as pricey restaurants within the hotel. 7. Awesome hotel guest security protection as the hotel guest room key only enables that particular floor. 8. Hotel provides 3 ****free***bottle waters daily to hotel guests.
