  • Guest：Good place
  • Guest：Needing somewhere cheap, this place fitted the bill. It's central, and with a reasonable amount of street parking. The room I was allocated was okay. There was a faint smell, but the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and nice and quiet. If you want the Ritz, go and pay the prices, but for ￡35 this was quite good.
  • Guest：As expected I chose the cheapest accommodation in Barrow, so I didn’t expect very much so I wasn’t shocked or disappointed. The room was shabby, but not obviously dirty although the bin hadn’t been emptied and I even found a previous guest’s dirty plates in a drawer. There was a microwave and fridge, but no kettle, cups or anything - although I later (next morning) learned that a fully equipped kitchen was available. This wasn’t explained when I arrived - only when I went searching for breakfast in the morning. The bathroom was spacious and the bath large. The bed was OK but the duvet and pillows were excellent so I slept really well. The policy of charging per occupant rather than for the room seems ridiculous - especially considering the breakfast is DIY budget cereals and toast. However, it wasn’t an issue as I was staying alone and although I would consider staying there again, I wouldn’t dare take my wife ??
  • Guest：The Phoenix is well located for all the main features of Barrow. It is basic but, as the price reflects that, decent value for money. Only downside was having to go through a Sitting Room/Kitchen to get to the loo or shower. Guys who run it are ok, friendly, so all good there.
