  • Guest：Excellent boutique hotel in a prime location within short walking distance to the historic city. The rooms were well appointed and eco friendly. Most importantly for us it had heat, which is not the usual for many hotels in Nepal. Breakfast and dinner were very well prepared with excellent service.
  • Guest：We were very impressed with the friendly greetings upon arrival, the introductions made by all members of staff, and the high level of facilities of the hotel, including delicious food. We loved the design of the hotel. The engagement with the local community was very much supported.
  • Guest：What a lovely intimate comfortable place to stay in Bhaktapur - highly recommend a stay here to immerse yourself in the city as the staff are incredible, the hotel is lovely, and the location cannot be beat to walk around the square and the local area. I was traveling alone and for the 5 nights prior had stayed in a large hotel in Kathmandu and was feeling a little lonely, and then I arrived at The Nanee, where they were so welcoming, made me feel like family, and treated me like an honored guest. The little touches like the welcome ceremony, the free experiences, and the well stocked and clean comfy room, as well as the emphasis on local culture and sustainability made this an unforgettable stay. The staff are there to assist in any way, and are friendly and welcoming, remembering your name even. The staff in the restaurant, Kumar and the ladies, were all so kind and attentive and the food was great, so much so that I brought my family back here for lunch after we reunited back in Kathmandu. The night experience tour was amazing, my favorite in my 8 days in Nepal - strolling through the alley ways and small streets and seeing the people in every day life, hearing about the culture and religion, making an offering at a temple, these are experiences I would not have had without the Nanee staff and guide who was so knowledgeable as their curator. And the added bonus of being there during the Festival of Tihar was a blessing! The hotel also set up a day tour for me with a guide named Bikram Suwal who I highly recommend- his enthusiasm for telling people about Bhaktapur was unparalleled and he took me on a whirlwind tour to show me everything he could in our time. Being born and raised in the city and his good English made for a wonderful day together. I will cherish the nights I stayed at the Nanee and in Bhaktapur - thank you to the Nanee staff!
