Guest：This is a “B&B” in name only. I’d like to emphasize that staff are helpful and hard-working. The deficits here are all on management, not their employees. If you’re hoping for a classic bed-and-breakfast experience with personal touches and attention, you won’t find it at El Farolito. (The same owners run the Four Kachinas too, so bear that in mind.) Staff appeared harried and stretched too thin. They kept having to close early (I assume to attend to the other property?) due to other obligations. Everything is outsourced, so you won’t see or hear from your actual innkeepers unless you reach out. Which we did, and were left with the distinct impression we’d been an inconvenience. Don’t expect tips on where to go, what to do, or how to get around town, unless you’re lucky enough to get info from your fellow guests. Ours turned out to be more knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming than the actual hosts. The property itself is rustic but cozy. Rooms were mostly clean and fairly well kept, but overall deferred maintenance abounds, especially in the bathrooms, where the fixtures and tile are not aging well and the water temperature was impossible to balance. Don’t build a fire in the adorable in-room fireplace, which is in desperate need of a chimney sweep. Mattresses are saggy, lumpy and in need of replacement. If you want hot tea, or hope to relax in the common area, likely it’s closed, except at breakfast. You may be better off at any number of less-expensive hotels/motels near the city center, where you won’t be paying for (or expecting) a more personalized experience.
Guest：Nicely located BnB. Walking distance to the Plaza and Canyon Road. Our casita was cozy and very comfortable. The breakfast each morning was great. Reagan was very accommodating, as we had to leave really early on our last day, and she put together a bag breakfast for us. Brewery and food truck next door was a convenient option.
