Guest：The hotel is all single story buildings spread over a large area. There is some planting but overall the grounds are 'moonscape' Sea view rooms are some way from the sea. Two pools the 'main pool' is small with only a handful of Salas to relax, the other pool is larger and overlooks the lagoon but no where near enough sun beds. The beach is good for sunshades and beds but poorly managed. Two restaurants one quite good by the larger pool serving Asian including Sushi the other larger restaurant serves breakfast, semi buffet and dinner mainly buffet. The dinner buffet was disappointing much of the food just warm. Staff in the main were friendly and helpful, more needed at the pool and particularly at the beach. Rooms are OK, but well used and floors not very clean. Some plumbing issues. The hotel is different because of its layout and it is in the middle of nowhere about an hour from the airport. Guest：We had a fantastic 9d holiday at the Alila Hinu Bay in one of the pool villas! Staff service was outstanding, in particular the dream team at the Orchard (Imam, Bhagat, Mirasol, Ava, etc.), but also at the reception (Shakil), as well as via the room service team (very speedy during breakfast and they even recognized my favorite coffee sort), etc. A BIG thank you! Furthermore: very good gym and sauna area which fortunately is complimentary and a reason alone to come back. Room and hotel facilities were very clean, aalm room What is clear: this is not a green oasis (desert atmosphere) with numerous entertainment options in the evening and it has not the biggest dining offering on the planet (though quality is good). But if this is accepted/part of the expectation management before arrival, there is nothing to complain about and we really enjoyed our stay. If you are a fan of having your own sunbeds and enjoy sun exposure, you should aim for pool villa. Our understanding was that all other rooms do have sun exposure only in the late afternoon. We haven't used the two pool areas, which however looked fine as well.
Guest：A perfect escape: quiet, beautifully isolated, and incredibly calm. Direct access to the beach, with a spacious property where you can wander, explore, and enjoy the surrounding area. I booked a lagoon-view king room and in the mornings I could watch camels coming to drink water by the lagoon. Such an authentic and special experience. The food was incredible, with plenty of seafood choices, snacks, and refreshing welcoming drinks.
